Business Communications
Manager Programmable Analog
Interface
All Business Communications Manager software has built-in market profiles. Some market
profiles include analog parameters. Working with a licensed Nortel technician, you can
customize the specified market profile analog parameters.
Customizing and localizing a market profile file is a two-step process that you complete with
the assistance of a licensed Nortel technician:
1. work with the licensed Nortel technician, who can use a data entry tool to
customize the analog parameters of the market profile file for you, and load it
onto your BCM system to test
2. apply a permanent patch created by Nortel that can be applied to any BCM
requiring the modified analog parameters
The programmable analog interface has a set-based administration interface that you access
through a set that is on your BCM system. Administration telset interfaces are accessible only
by a user with an Installer level of telset user privileges. Use the set-based administration
interface to access the programmable analog interface status, and optionally remove the
current analog profile file if it is determined that the installed analog profile file is
inappropriate for your installation.
.
To use the programmable analog interface, you must first download and install the latest BCM
patch on your BCM system.
Removing a profile file from a BCM

profile file status and to optionally remove the profile. The profile should only be removed
under guidance from Nortel Support (1-800-nortel support).
1.Call 1-800-nortel support to reach an authorized Nortel technician.
