an unauthori zed party, for exampl e, persons other than your company’s
employees, agents, subcont ra ct ors, or persons working on your company’s behalf. Note that th ere may be a risk of toll fraud associat ed with
your telecommunicatio n s syste m and, if to ll f ra u d oc cu r s, it can re sul t in
substantial additional charges for yo ur te le c om munications services.
Y ou and your system manager are responsible for the security of your system, such as programming and configuring your equipm ent to prevent
unauthorized use. The system manager is also responsible for rea ding all
installation, instruction, and system admi nist ra ti on do cuments provided
with this product in order to full y understand the features tha t c an introduce risk of toll fraud and the steps th at can be t ake n t o r ed uce that risk.
Avaya does not warrant that this product is immune from or w ill pre vent
unauthorized use of com mon-carrier telecommuni ca tion services or facilities accessed through or connected to it. Avaya will not be responsible for
any charges that result from such unauthorized use.
Avaya Fraud Intervention.
If you suspect that you are being victimized by toll fraud and you need
technical support or assistance and are within the United States, call the
Technical Service Center Toll Fraud Intervention Hotline at 1 800 643-
2353. If you need technical support or assistance and are outside of the
United States, contact the equipment vendor from whom you purchased
your equipment service maintenance contract. If you need to report toll
fraud issues regarding a publ ic tel e phone, contact the in-country telephone service provider.
