IMPORTANT SAFEGUIDES
Before the appliance is used, it must be properly positioned and installed as
described in this manual, so read the manual carefully. To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or injury when using the appliance, follow basic precaution, including the following:
Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet, do not remove grounding prong, do not use an adapter, and do not use an extension cord.
Replace all panels before operating.
It is recommended that a separate circuit, serving only your appliance be provided. Use
receptacles that cannot be turned off by a switch or pull chain.
Never clean appliance parts with flammable fluids. These fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion. And do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance. The fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion.
Before proceeding with cleaning and maintenance operations, make sure the power line of the unit is disconnected.
Do not connect or disconnect the electric plug when your hands are wet.
Unplug the appliance or disconnect power before cleaning or servicing. Failure to do so can result
in electrical shock or death.
Do not attempt to repair or replace any part of your appliance unless it is specifically recommended in this material. All other servicing should be referred to a qualified technician.

Use two or more people to move and install appliance. Failure to do so can result in back or other injury.
To ensure proper ventilation for your appliance, the front of the unit must be completely unobstructed. Choose a well-ventilated area with temperatures above 60°F (16°C) and below 90°F (32°C). This unit must be installed in an area protected from the element, such as wind, rain, water spray or drips.
The appliance should not be located next to ovens, grills or other sources of high heat.
The appliance must be installed with all electrical connections in accordance with state and local
codes. A standard electrical supply (115 V AC only, 60 Hz), properly grounded in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local codes and ordinances is required.
Do not kink or pinch the power supply cord of appliance.
The fuse (or circuit breaker) size should be 15 amperes.
It is important for the appliance to be leveled in order to work properly. You may need to make
several adjustments to level it.
Never allow children to operate, play with or crawl inside the appliance.
Do not use solvent-based cleaning agents of abrasives on the interior. These cleaners may
damage or discolor the interior.
Do not use this apparatus for other than its intended purpose.
Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance enclosure or in the built-in structure, clear of
obstruction.
Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
If the SUPPLY CORD is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before using your appliance
Remove the exterior and interior packing.
Check to be sure you have all of the following parts:

Before connecting the appliance to the power source, let it stand upright for approximately 2 hours.
This will reduce the possibility of a malfunction in the cooling system from handling during transportation.
Clean the interior surface with lukewarm water using a soft cloth.
Install the handle on the left side of the door.
Installation of your appliance
This appliance is designed to be for free standing installation or built-in (fully recessed).
Place your appliance on a floor that is strong enough to s upport it w hen it is ful ly loaded. To leve l
your appliance, adjust the front levelling legs at the bottom of the appliance.
Locate the applianc e away from d irect sunlight and sources of heat (stove, h eater, radiator , etc.).
Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic coating and heat sources may increase electrical consumption. Extreme cold ambient temperatures may also cause the unit not to perform properly.
Avoid locating the unit in moist areas.
Plug the appliance into an exclusive, properly installed-grounded wall outlet. Do not under any
circumstances cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. Any questions concerning power and/or grounding should be directed toward a certified electrician or an authorized Avanti Products service center.
Built-in cabinet instructions
This unit is designed for either built-in or free standing installation. If you plan to use this unit in a built-in application please follow the requirements shown to the right.

Electrical connection

This appliance should be properly grounded for your safety. The power cord of this appliance is equipped with a thre e-prong plug which mates with standar d three pr ong wall outlets to minimiz e the possibility of electrical shock.
Do not under any circ umstances c ut or remove the th ird ground pr ong from the power cord supp lied. For personal safety, this appliance must be properly grounded.
This appliance requires a s tandard 115/12 0 Volt AC ~/60Hz el ectrical ground out let with three-prong. Have the wall outlet and c ircuit checked by a qua lified electricia n to make sure the outlet is properly grounded. When a st andard 2-prong wall outlet is encount ered, it is your res ponsibili ty and o bligation to have it replaced with a p roperly grounded 3-prong wall outlet. The c ord should be secur ed behind the appliance and not left exposed or dangling to prevent acci dent al injur y .
The appliance should always be plugged into its own individual elect rical outlet which has a v oltage rating that matches t he rating label on the appliance. This provides the best perfor mance and also prevent overloading house wiring circuits that could cause a fire hazard from overheated. Never unplug the applianc e by pu lling the p ower cord . Alwa ys grip t he plug firmly an d pull str aight o ut from the receptacle. Repair or replace immediately all pow er cords that have become frayed or otherwise damaged. Do not use a cord that s hows cracks or abrasion damage alon g its length or at either en d. When moving the appliance, be careful not to damage the power cord.
Extension cord
Because of potential safet y hazards under cer tain conditions , it is strongly rec ommended that y ou do not use an extension cord with this appliance. However, if you must use an extension cord it is absolutely necessary that it be a UL/CUL-Listed, 3-wire grounding type appliance extension cord having a grounding type plug and o utlet and that the electrical r ating of th e cord be 115 volts and at least 10 amperes.
Power bar with surge protection
Most electrical appl iances use a series of e lectric control boar ds to operate. Th ese boards are very susceptible to power surges and could be damaged or destroyed.
If the appliance is going to be used in an area or if your city / country is prone to power surges / outages; it is sugg ested that you use a power sur ge protector for all electr ical devices / appliances you use. The sur ge protector that you se lect must have a surge bloc k high enough to protect th e appliance it is connecte d to. If y ou have any q uesti ons regardin g the typ e and si ze of s urge protec tor needed contact a licensed electrician in your area.
Damages due to power surges are not cons idered a manufactur er covered defec t and will void your product warranty.

This appliance includes a stainless-steel handle. To install the handle please follow the below instructions:
1. Pull away the door gasket in the area where the handle is to be installed on the left side as
shown below in Illustration # 1. The gasket is easily displaced by hand, no tools are necessary.
2. Align the handle with the sc rews installed. Tig hten the scr ews using a Phillips head s crewdriver
until the handle sets bot h fl us h an d s ecur ed t ig htly against the door fram e. ( DO N O T ov er tigh ten as this will cause damage to the handle assembly).
3. Replace the door gasket to its original position.
4. If you choose not to use the handle supplied, simply follow step 1 to access the installation
screws and remov e them a nd then place t he two d ecor ative plugs into t he two holes se parately . Continue on to step 3 to replace the door gasket to its original position.

It is recommended you install the appliance in a place where the ambient temperature is between 19ºC-24ºC (66ºF-7 5ºF). If the ambient temperature is above or be low recommended temperatures, the performance of the unit may be affec ted. For example, placing your unit in extreme cold or hot
conditions may caus e int er ior tem per at ures to f luc tuat e . The r an ge of 5ºC-18ºC (40ºF-65ºF) may not be reached.

Setting the temperature control
You can select temperature display setting from Fahrenheit to Celsius degree by touching the button. Fahrenheit or Celsius degrees indic ator will appear in blue color in the temperature display window.
If you desire to change th e temperature, set the temperature as you des ire by touching the or button. The numbers in the display window will flash. The temperature that you desire to set will increase 1ºF or 1ºC if you t ouc h the button once; on the contrary the tem per at ur e wil l dec r ease 1ºF or 1ºC if you touch the button once.
When you store mostly red wines, the temperature which you control by touching the above two buttons need to be set at 15ºC-18ºC (59ºC-65ºF). When you store mostly white wines, the temperature needs to be set at 10ºC-14ºC (50ºF-57ºF) When you store most ly spa rkling wines , the t emperatu re needs to be set at 5ºC -8ºC (40 ºF-46ºF) The temperature inside the unit will be appeared in blue color in the display window.
NOTE: If th e unit is u nplugged, if the pow er is los t, or tur ned off, yo u must wa it 3 to 5 minutes before restarting the unit. If you attempt to restart before this time delay, the appliance will not start.
When you use the app liance for t he first time or restart the appliance after having been shut off for a long time, there cou ld be a few degrees varianc e between the temperature yo u select and the one indicated on the LED r eadout. This is normal and it i s due to the length of the activation t ime. Once the appliance is running for a few hours everything will be back to normal.
