IMPORTANT SAFEGUIDES
Before the appliance is used, it must be properly positioned and installed as
described in this manual,so read the manual carefully. To reduce the risk of fire,
electrical shock or injury when using the Appliance, follow basic precaution,
including the following:
•Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet, do not remove grounding prong, do not use an adapter, and
do not use an extension cord.
•It is recommended that a separate circuit, serving only your Appliance be provided. Use
receptacles that cannot be turned off by a switch or pull chain.
•Never clean Appliance parts with flammable fluids. These fumes can create a fire hazard or
explosion. And do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of

•Use two or more people to move and install Appliance. Failure to do so can result in back or other

•To ensure proper ventilation for your Appliance, the front of the unit must be completely
unobstructed. Choose a well-ventilated area with temperatures above 60°F (16°C) and below
90°F (32°C). This unit must be installed in an area protected from the element, such as wind, rain,
water spray or drips.
• The Appliance should not be located next to ovens, grills or other sources of high heat.
• The Appliance must be installed with all electrical connections in accordance with state and local
codes. A standard electrical supply (115 V AC only, 60 Hz), properly grounded in accordance with
the National Electrical Code and local codes and ordinances is required.

• The fuse (or circuit breaker) size should be 2.5 amperes.
• It is important for the Appliance to be leveled in order to work properly. You may need to make

Installing Your Beverage Cooler
•This Beverage Cooler uses superconductor heat-pipe refrigeration technology (no
compressor).
•This appliance is designed to be free standing only, and should not be recessed or built-in
(Fully recessed).
•Place your Be verage Cooler on a flo or that is s trong enough to support t he Beverage Coo ler
when it is fully loaded.
•Allow 5 inches of space between the back and sides of the Bevera ge Cooler, which allows
the proper air circulation to cool the heat sink.
•Locate the Beverage Cooler away from direct sunlight and sources of heat (stove, heater,
radiator, etc.). Direc t sunlight may affect the acrylic coati ng and heat sources may increase
electrical consumption. Extreme cold ambient temperatures may also cause the Beverage
ooler not to perform properly.

•Avoid locating the Beverage Cooler in moist areas.
•Plug t he Beverage Cooler into an exclusive, pr operly installed-grounded wall ou tlet. Do not

The cord should be secured behind the appliance and not left exposed or dangling to prevent

The appliance shoul d always be plugged i nto its own individual electrical outlet which has a voltage
rating that matches the rating label on the appl iance. This provides the best p erformance and also
prevent overloading house wiring circuits that could cause a fire hazard from overheated. Never
unplug the applianc e b y pulling th e power cord. Alwa ys grip the plug f irm ly and pull str aight out fr om
the receptacle. Repair or replace imm ediately all power cords that ha ve become fra yed or otherwise

EXTENSION CORD
Because of potential safety hazards under certain conditions, it is strongly recommended that you do
use an extension cord with this appliance. However, if you must use an extension cord it is
not
absolutely necessary that it be a UL/CUL-Listed, 3-wire grounding type appliance extension cor
having a grounding type plug and outlet and that the electrical rating of the cord be 300 volts and at
least 10 amperes.
SURGE PROTECTOR
Most electrical appliances use a series of electric control boards to operate. These boards are very
susceptible to power surges and could be dam aged or destro yed.
If the appliance is going to be used in an area or if your city / country is prone to power surges /
outages; it is suggested that you use a power surge protector for all electrical devices / appliances
you use. The surge protector that you select must have a surge block high enough to protect the
appliance it is connected to. If you have any questions regarding the type and size of surge protector
needed contact a licensed electrician in your area.
Damages due to power surges are not considered a manufacturer covered defect and will void your
product warranty.

Setting the Temperature Control
• Your Beverage Cooler has only one control for regulating the
temperature. The temperature control is located on the upper
right hand corner of the compartment.
• To control the internal temperature, adjust the control knob
cording to the ambient temperature or purpose of use.

“HI”.

manually activated and will not be on when the door is opened and be off when the door is closed. T

CARE AND MAIN TENANCE
Defrosting Your Beverage Cooler
This model uses a superconductor heat-pipe cooling system with automatic defrosting system so
t
here is no need to defrost it manually.
Cleaning Your Beverage Cooler
•UNPLUG the Beverage Cooler, and remove the shelf.
•Wash the inside surfaces with a warm water and baking soda solution. The solution should be
about 2 tablespoons of baking soda to a quart of water.
•Wash the shelf with a mild detergent solution.
•The outside of the Beverage Cooler should be cleaned with mild detergent and warm water.
•Wring excess water out of the s po nge or cloth before clea nin g t he ar ea of the c ont r ols, or any
electrical parts.
•W ash the outside cab inet with warm water and m ild liquid deterg ent. Rinse well and wipe dr y
with a clean soft cloth.

•Short vacations: Leave the Beverage Cooler operating during vacations of less than three
weeks.

the power cord. Clean an d dry the interior thorough ly. To prevent odor and m old growth, leave
he door open slightly: blocking it open if necessary.

Moving Your Beverage Cooler
•Securely tape down all loose items inside your Beverage Cooler.
•Tape the door shut.
•Protect the outside of Beverage Cooler with a blanket, or similar item.
Energy Saving Tips
•The Beverage Cooler should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat
producing appliances, and out of the direct sunlight.
•Overloading the Beverage C ool er forces the superconductor cooling system to run longer.
•Reduce do or op en ings and extended sear ches , r emove as man y item as nee ded at o ne t ime,
and close the door as soon as possible.
•One characteristic of superconductor heat-pipe units is the length of time it requires to
ecover from having the door opened a nd shut f requentl y. It m ay be nec essar y to wait longer
r
for the temperature to retur n to its former level once the door has been opened f or too long.
This is normal for the type of unit.
