Overview
Overview
The 4KMX42 is a 4 in 2 out slim HDMI matrix with Ultra HD 4K support.
It reliably distributes four HDMI source signals to up to two HDMI
displays. The HDCP compliant matrix supports resolutions up to
4K@30Hz and 1080p@60Hz.
This matrix features two advanced technologies: automatic EDID
management, which provides Copy/Fixed EDID options for different
resolution outputs, and HDCP management, which authenticates
HDCP encryption between all devices, ensuring the HDMI source
reliably outputs correct content for display.
It is ideal for applications, such as offices, schools, conferences rooms,
shopping malls, hotels or museums, which require the distribution of
an HDMI source signal to multiple displays.

EDID Management
EDID Management
When an HDMI video source boots up, it normally communicates with
the output device using the EDID communication protocol based on
the built in EDID information. The source device then produces a
signal with the optimum resolution that is compatible with the output
device.
4KMX42 Supports EDID copy insert priority function
When connecting to a single monitor, copy EDID of the monitor
directly
When connecting to two monitors, the EDID of the first monitor
to connect is used for both. If HDMI Out1 is connected first, the
EDID of HDMI Out1 shall be copied; otherwise, the EDID of HDMI
Out2 wil be copied.
Note: When powering on after connection of two monitors, the EDID
of HDMI Out2 wil be copied.
