complete tracking capabilities via any internet connected computer or
cell phone, anywhere in the world. The system is based on a proprietary
two-way digital communications protocol that allows complete encrypted
communication between the security and remote start system, data
modules and the vehicle. The unit utilizes the latest Siemens
telecommunications module as an engine for the interface which drives
the cellular communication and GPS functionality. In this manner the
user can control many aspects for the vehicle as well as complete full
featured tracking capabilities with an icon based user interface. The
system can in many ways eliminate the need to carry hand held remote
controls allowing unlimited range for complete operation and a total
solution for the control and tracking of the vehicle.
Precautions:
• The C|3 system uses the cellular network for communication.
Outages of the cellular system can occur from time to time. It is
highly recommended that a remote still be accessible for the
operation of the vehicle in case a cellular system outage occurs.
• The C|3 will operate anywhere covered by the cellular system.
In some remote areas there will be no cellular coverage for the
system to operate. This can depend on the carrier, terrain and
environmental factors that can interfere with normal cell phone
operation.
• It is highly recommended that a data and text message plan be
purchased for the phones controlling the C|3 in your vehicle or
vehicles. This will prevent additional billing from your cell phone
provider. The C|3 uses compact data bursts that are typically
very small in size however these could add up.
• This unit as well as the user’s cell phone MUST be programmed
before they will operate. Please see dealer and user
programming contained in this manual.
• To prevent accidental activation, only connect power to this

Please be sure that your data module is downloaded with the
latest software and two-way protocol.
• Never operate the C|3 when driving the vehicle.
• Never leave small children or pets in an unattended vehicle.
• Always install and test the remote starter or alarm system 100%
before proceeding to install the C|3. All operations must work
according to the manuals of these devices before C|3 is
installed.
Main Unit:
Mounting:
Mount the main C|3 unit in the interior of the vehicle. This may be
installed under the dash board or seating. Please insure that the unit is
close to the Alarm or remote start system so the data cables can be
connected. The unit can be mounted vertically or horizontally and must
be securely held to minimize vibration and movement that may impair the
driver’s ability to operate the vehicle. Always solder all connections and
provide room to run the data, power and antenna cables.
Wiring:
Power connection:
Note: The power connection should be connected to the
proper power sources but not plugged in until the entire
installation has been complete. If the SIM card has not been
activated before power is applied to the unit, the unit will
need to be power-cycled after the SIM card is authorized by
unplugging the power and data connections for 5 seconds

The C|3 has 2 data plugs that need to be connected correctly for the
system to operate. These inputs are labeled and cannot be
interchanged. These cables will control the alarm and remote start
system as well as the data module if used. The cables can be
interchanged but they need to be connected to the proper socket for
correct operation.
• Data Cable “A”: This cable can be attached to an ADS data
module. This connection does not need to be made if no data
module is required for the installation.
• Data Cable “B”: This cable must be connected to
connector B and to the data port of the Auto Page alarm
or remote start system. This is vital to communicate
commands to the unit.
These data cables are encrypted and will ONLY work with Autopage C|3
compatible products and ADS data modules. Please insure the latest
software has been downloaded to the ADS module. Autopage One way
ADS units will operate but will have limited functionality. Please be sure
to chose the two-way protocol if available when updating or downloading
your ADS data module.
Antenna Mounting:
The C|3 unit comes with a combination GPS and GSM antenna. This
antenna should be mounted on the dash or rear deck of the vehicle with
a good view of the sky above. This is important for maximum
performance of the C|3 unit and these are the preferred locations. These
antennas can be mounted below a plastic dashboard or installed in the
dash but this will affect the performance of the antenna. Where a strong

ion antenna has two sets of coaxial cable coming
from it. These are both marked with a tag that will identify the
function of that wire. These cables cannot be interchanged and
need to be attached correctly for operation.
NEVER CUT or extend the antenna cables for any reason.
GSM: The antenna lead labeled GSM is for the reception and
transmission of cellular signals. This should be connected to the
antenna terminal marked with GSM on the back side of the C|3
unit. Please insure that this connection is tight and will not vibrate
loose.
GPS: The antenna lead labeled GPS is for the tracking portion of
the C|3 unit. It relies on Global Positioning Satellites to determine
the location of the vehicle and is accurate to within a few feet.
The cable Labeled GPS should be connected to the antenna
terminal marked GPS on the back side of the C|3 unit. Please
insure that this connection is tight and secure.
A high power covert mounted antenna can be purchased from
Auto Page. This can be used if the user would like to mount the
antenna in a non conventional place or if the device is used where
cellular or GPS signals are very weak. Please call your local
Authorized Auto Page dealer for details. Part #: C|3 Covert Ant
Kit.
The Global Positioning System (GPS) is the only fully functional Global
Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) utilizing a constellation of at least 24
medium Earth orbit satellites that transmit precise microwave signals, the system

given to the customer after the installation has been completed and the
customer should be advised to keep this card in a safe place for future
reference if needed.
The software setup process can be accessed from an internet connected
computer by visiting http://c3.gomoshi.com/dealers. This site also
contains a tutorial on step by step instructions on how to configure the
C|3 module. It is recommended that a copy of this be printed and kept at
the installing dealer for future installs. These will also be available by fax
or e-mail by calling Autopage Tech support @ 800-945-2527. Authorized
dealers only.
It is important to follow the entire Dealer setup process to ensure the
correct configuration of C|3. Once completed the C|3 should register to
the Moshi® network and become operational.
Customer Phone setup:
To operate C|3 the customer must also register and select the plan that
is right for them. On this site they can manage their account, add and
delete phones from their system, track and control the vehicle and setup
all user parameters. This can be done at any time by the customer by
logging into their account on an internet connected computer by visiting
http://c3.gomoshi.com
The C|3 will not operate until this process has been completed. It
provides a secure link between the user’s cell phone and their C|3
vehicle or vehicles.
There is also a tutorial for the user interface at this site. It is
recommended that the user read and fully understand this process. This
tutorial is located at the following link: http://c3.gomoshi.com/dealers
