1.3 Warnings for battery usage
Only use original Autec batteries and only recharge batteries with battery rechargers power supply units provided by Autec for this unit.
Never use damaged batteries.
Never use batteries if they have been dropped even just once.
Improper use of batteries may pose the hazard of 󰄈re, explosion, overheating or other hazards. These are some examples of improper use:
- short circuit the battery poles
- disassemble, cut, open, press, deform, drill, modify, tamper with batteries or attempt to repair them in any way
- try to insert objects in the batteries
- dive or expose batteries in/to water or other liquids.
1.4 First aid
If a person comes into contact with material leaking from a damaged battery,
immediately wash thoroughly the involved part with soap and water for at least 15 minutes and consult a doctor.
1.5 Instructions for use
Do not attempt to repair damaged or faulty batteries.
It is recommended to recharge the battery before you use it for the 󰘰rst time.

Battery AIRBM3V7L
AUTEC - Air series
In order to ensure the maximum battery life over time, please follow these instructions:
- do not use or recharge the battery at temperatures exceeding the limits provided in paragraph 1.1
- follow storage prescriptions provided in paragraph 1.6
- do not expose the battery to heat sources.
Partial recharge/discharge does not cause damages to the battery, on the contrary, it can prolong battery life.
Batteries may be recharged and discharged hundred of times, but progressive reduction of the maximum capacity occurs with use.
Use of altered batteries or batteries that are not the original ones will void any warranty.
Autec accepts no responsibility for any use that does not comply with the limitations
and indications provided, and for any damage that may result from improper, incorrect
or irrational use of the battery.
1.6 Storage
Please note that if a battery is not used, it will self-discharge over time;long-lasting storage may also lead to permanent capacity loss. If you expect not to use the battery for a long time, it is recommended to store it in a cool and dry place, in order to ensure its maximum lifetime. The following table shows the residual battery capacity in comparison to its nominal value, depending on the storage temperature and period.
Temperature range Period Residual capacity
45 to 60°C (113 to 140°F) 1 month 75%
25 to 45°C (77 to 113°F) 3 months 70%
-20 to 25°C (-4 to 77°F) 1 year 80%
This table refers to a battery stored at half charge (voltage between 3.75V and 3.85V), which is the ideal condition for storage. Batteries stored at half charge will last at least three times more than batteries stored at full charge. For example, if storing at a temperature from -20 to 25°C (from -4 to 77°F), it is recommended to run a charge-discharge cycle for the battery every 90 days. After each charge-discharge cycle, bring the battery back to the ideal half charge condition before storing it again. In addition, pay attention not to store batteries at low charge levels. In this case, self-discharge may drop the battery to such a low charge level that it will no more be possible to recharge it.
Do not store fully charged or completely 󰄉at batteries for a long time.

1.7 Battery disposal
Do not throw the batteries away with domestic trash and do not burn them
as they may explode.
Batteries may contaminate the environment due to toxic or harmful substances that can be dangerous for humans, animals and the vegetation. For this reason, they must not be disposed of as unsorted household waste. They must be brought to the appropriate collection point for the collection, recycling and treatment of batteries. Users participation in the collection and recycling of batteries is important to reduce to the minimum any potential impacts of substances used in these components on the environment and on human health.
1.7.1 Directive 2006/66/EC and amendments
Di󰘯erent collection and recycling schemes for batteries are established
across the European Union. For any information on the schemes valid in your area, please contact the relevant local authorities in your territory. The crossed-out wheeled bin marked on batteries indicates that they must be disposed of separately from household waste, in conformity with the EU Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments, and with local regulations.

Docking station AIRDOCK01
AUTEC - Air series
2 Docking station AIRDOCK01
The docking station AIRDOCK01 can only be used to recharge the AIR series A8 unit through an adapter; this is provided together with the radio remote control and can either be wallmounted (FRA012-S05) or car mounted (CLA05D-050A).
Docking station
Power supply FRA012-S05-I* Power supply unit CLA05D-050A
*: E: European plug
U: US plug
C: Chinese plug
A: Australian plug
B: UK plug
A8 transmitting units must only be charged through the docking station
AIRDOCK01 and its adapter, (wall mounted FRA012-S05 or car mounted
CLA05D-050A) provided by Autec together with the radio remote control.
Use of a docking station and a power supply unit other than those provided will void the warranty.
Use the docking station only to recharge the A8 and not as a stand for the unit.
2.1 Connecting the docking station and the power supply unit
Insert the jack plug of the power supply unit in the corresponding socket on the docking station, in order to connect them.
Never use the docking station and the power supply unit if they are damaged.
The power supply unit must be connected to a socket that can be easily reached and disconnected.

2.2 Positioning
Put the docking station in a indoor and dry place, far from liquids, dust and
heat sources.
Do not put any objects over the docking station when it is powered.
Do not in any case perforate, modify or tamper with the docking station.
2.3 Warnings for docking station usage
Users of the docking station must respect the following behaviour rules and provisions.
This equipment is not suitable for people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities.
This equipment is for professional use only, and cannot be used by unskilled people, unless they are supervised and have received instructions on the
use of this device by a person in charge for their safety.
Do not handle the docking station and/or the mains adapter with soaked or wet hands or feet or using objects, tools and/or instruments that conduct electricity, are not insulated or are not protected from the risk of electrical shock; do not in any case use damaged or wet objects and/or tools.
Disconnect power supply, disconnect the jack plug and remove the unit (if
present) before any cleaning or maintenance operation.
Before you put the unit in the docking station's cradle, check that the contacts of both are intact and clean. If necessary, clean them with a non-abrasive
cloth or brush and a generic electrical contact cleaner.
Improper use of docking stations and power supply units may pose the
hazard of 󰄈re, explosion, overheating or other hazards.
To recharge the battery, make sure that the machine is in a safe state, so that it cannot generate hazards (i.e. never leave the load suspended). When the A8 unit is being recharged in the docking station, the unit must not be used to control the machine, and the stop function is not available.

Pay attention not to let elements (such as concrete, sand, lime, etc.) deposit on the battery charger, because they can compromise its use and safety.
Recharge in an enclosed space.
Autec accepts no responsibility for any use that does not comply with the limitations
and indications provided, and for any damage that may result from improper, incorrect
or irrational use of the docking station and of the power supply unit.
2.3.1 Charged
First power on the docking station with its power supply unit and then:
1. insert the A8 unit into the docking station: red LED on indicates that charging has started (max. 4 h)
2. remove the A8 unit from the docking station when necessary
Note: when the green LED switches on, the A8 unit is completely charged.
2.4 Disposal
When disposing of the battery charger, give it to the waste separate collecting services in the user's country.
