CONNECTING THE JUNCTION BOX TO YOUR AUDIO SOURCE
Plug the Junction Box into your audio sources as using either the 1/4” or 1/8” plug ( but not both )
USING SEVERAL JUNCTION BOXES
Plug the fi rst junction box into your audio source, plug the second junction box into the expansion connection “ EXT.in” and plug the third junction box into the expansion connection “ EXT.out”.
Australian Monitor does not recommend connecting more than 3 ATC GLC 8 junction boxes to one audio source, as this may exceed the capacity of your audio source & cause damage to the audio source, junction box, headphones or all three.

Headphone Jacks (8 or 10)
DETERMINING YOUR AUDIO SOURCE CAPACITY
All audio sources and headphones have an output loading capacity called output impedance, specifi ed in term of “ohm-Ω”. The effected impedance of various of headphones connected is called “ combined impedance”.
To determine the combined impedance of a number of headphones connected to the ATC GLC8 you can use the following formula;
Impedance of individual headphone
Combined headphone impedance = ---------------------------------------------------
Number of headphones connected
So for a system using 8 x 200 ohm headphones the formula would look like this;
200 ohms
Combined headphone impedance = ------------------------ = 25 ohms
8
So the Audio source must have an impedance of 25 ohms or less.
NOTE: this formula only works when the headphones are all of the same impedance.
