USER GUIDE
DIRECTIONS:
To assure positive adhesion, surfaces must be clean, dry and free of foreign materials.
New drywall must be primed and painted.
Cut the tip off the threaded nozzle feature on the front of the tube and screw the application nozzle onto the tube. Cut approximately 1” off of the tip of the application nozzle, at an angle.
Apply a continuous bead of adhesive to the back of the foam about 1-1½” from the edges, then apply an X or zigzag in the center (see Fig. A). The application pattern shown in Figure B will use more adhesive but is more effective on surfaces that are difficult to adhere to.
For best adhesion, align and carefully press your foam into place, applying moderate pressure for a minimum of 15 seconds to spread out the adhesive.
Separate the foam from the wall for 2 to 5 minutes then reassemble with firm pressure.
Tubetak Pro is considered a permanent installation. Removing the panel after the adhesive has cured can result in some damage to the Studiofoam and the mounting surface. Try using a sharp knife to carefully separate the panel from the adhesive to minimize tearing. Use a citrus based adhesive remover to clean the adhesive from the wall. Auralex is not responsible for any damage to walls, the ceiling or the overall structure that occurs during installation or removal of our products.
