1 . When turn off t ra nsport, pls pre ss t he p ower button on fr on t pa nel first, then pres s th e
main power swit ch o n ba ck panel. If turn off the main power s wi tc h directly, tr an sport would
lost the previo us s et tings.

Using Q/A
1. As per mode of pla yi ng
It has 4 types acco rd in g to position of play in g
1) P la yi ng all songs From browsing s on gs ->all songs, it wil l sw itch to this mode aft er s electing songs fo r pl ay ing. Characteris ti cs o f mode: Play all song s in S D card.
2) P la yi ng songs in file folde r From browsing s on gs ->all songs, it wil l sw itch to this mode aft er s electing for play in g. Characteris ti cs o f mode: Play songs in s el ected file folder.
3) P la yi ng songs in favorit es From my favorit es -> my favorite son g, i t wi ll switch to this mod e af ter selecting son gs f or playing
4) P la yi ng songs that have be en p layed recently In recently pla yi ng m ode, it will switch t o th is mode after selec ti ng songs for playin g.
Note: In this mod e, o nl y songs have been pla ye d recently in list co ul d be played.
2. As per favorite s
Favorites, na me ly p laying list, has 4 li st s at present. When so ng s are put into favori te s, they could be saved and added t o ac co rding list. Songs a dd ed to favorites cou ld b e played in mode 1 and mo de 2 . The whole f ol de r could be added to p la yi ng list in mode 2.
Note: Same songs coul d be a dd ed to favorites rep ea tedly, at pres en t, they will not be scr ee ned out.
Delete songs in f av or ites: From my favorit es -> my favorite songs , en ter into accordin g pl aying list, press m ul ti -function but to n to delete. The re w ill be no tips as do su ch o pe ration.
Number of songs c ou ld b e added to favorite s: At present 800 son gs c ou ld be added to each pla yi ng list.

3. As per save sett in gs
Tur nt able supports t o save settings w it hout power on . C onsidering li fe ti me of flash insi de , save would
only w or k as using re mo te contr ol ler and button on fro nt panel at pre se nt , and save wo uld not valid w hen
shut down power dir ec tly. In addition, when turn off turntable using remot e co nt roller or button on front panel . Pl s no t sh ut d own
main power until ba ck ground light is off. This is m en ti oned in manual and re mi nd user again here.
4. As per CUE
S18 supports fla c/ ap e/wav associate d wi th CUE file, but a few iss ue s below must be paid at te nt ion to:
1) O ne f ol der could only be put i nt o one CUE file. After ent er ing into folder, eac h so ng c ould be seen directly.
2) A t pr es ent, CUE only suppo rt s ASCII format and wil l op en UTF-8 format to us er l ater. If normal display can not b e ob ta ined, pls use noteb oo k of windows to open CU E fil e and save as ASCII form at .
3) F la c fil e either has no SEEK re gi ster or a far distanc e be tween start-and -e nd p oint. Compared with AP E, WAV, s tart-and-end ti me p oint of CUE file will be f ar ther. If requires a hi gh performance , pl s co nvert into WAV or A PE because APE and WAV do no t ha ve such problem. La te r algorithm wou ld b e op timized as much as po ss ible.
5. As per SACDISO fi le
1) S 18 s up ports ISO file with DS D6 4 format. If S18 can no t pl ay it, pls use footba r to o pen it and check its property is DSD 64 o r no t.
2) S AC D IS O and CUE display ali ke , they display name o f ea ch song directly. One folder is only al lo we d to put into one ISO fi le a nd fi le type will be shown o n in terface of playin g.
6. As per layer of fo ld er a nd length of file name
1) T he m ax imum layer of file fol de r S18 could support i s no m ore than 7. Otherwi se t he y will be filtered out. So pls not exc ee d th is figure to play song s.
2) T he m ax imum length of file na me i s no more than 100 char ac ters. If it is Chines e ch ar acter, it should be less than 50. Ot he rw ise, they can not be re co gnized.

7. As per SD card
At present S18 only suppor ts FAT32 format. Format of 64G and 12 8G car d are exFAT b y default and
windows does not sup po rt to in itialize 64G card or ab ov e w it h FAT32 format, it ne ed s t he third software,
for example, Di sk Ge nius to do this.
8. As per CUE
Because S18 use s si ng le chip and has limit ed s peed, so at present , S1 8 co uld support fas t an d no rmal compressed gr ad e on ly. It will su pp or t high compressed g ra de later after opti mi zing.
9. As per upgradi ng
1) N or ma l upgrading Menu: System sett in g- >upgrade (At pres en t on the 2nd page from the bo tt om, it can page up) wait un it
to restart af te r confirming a nd enter into up gr ading picture. On upgrading pi ct ure press UP to confirm
upgrading and pre ss D OWN to cancel upgra de . It will start autom at ically after finis hi ng u pgrading.
2) U pg ra ding with combina ti on key In case power is off during normal u pg ra ding or unit can not st ar t after upgrading , pl s enter into upgrading int er fa ce as following met ho d: Turn off uni t fir st, then press powe r an d me nu button on the fr on t pa nel at same time. After power an d background li gh t ar e on, release the but to n. The othe r st ep s of upgrading are sa me a s normal upgrading. Aft er u pg rading is finished , un it enter into stand by p icture.
3) D el et ing settings by for ce ( including favor it es/recently pla ye d co ntents) Turn off uni t fir st, then press BACK +D OW N to power on. Rele as e th e button after 2 se co nd s and start unit again. A t this time all set ti ng s have been cleared o ff. At first time d oi ng s uch operation and t ur n off unit, it needs 20 -3 0 se conds to initiali ze f avorite folder. Pl s sh ut down power only af te r tu rn off unit and wait until ba ck gr ound light is out. Su ch o peration is like cl ea ring CMOS, when som e fa il ures come nowhere.
