2. Main Features
1) Keep the device away from rain and moisture.
2) Please ensure a minimum distance of 5 cm around the device for sufficient ventilation.
3) Do not cover the device with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc. as it may impede the ventilation.
4) Keep the device away from open flames.
5) Keep the device out of reach of children.
6) Do not open the device, as this will invalidate the warranty.

5. Operations
5.1 Use of TV aerial with USB amplifier

To USB power adaptor
Step 1: Connect the TV aerial to the USB amplifier.
Step 2: Connect the coaxial cable from the USB amplifier to
your Freeview Box, TV or receiver.
Step 3: Plug the USB amplifier into a powered USB port, (such
as the USB port on the August DA900C or DA100C) or use a USB mains (i.e.August UMC500) or car adaptor to connect it to a plug socket or 12-24V cigarette lighter.
Step 4:Attaching the suction or clip mount: Insert the connectors on the suction or clip mount into the wider slots on the bottom of the TV aerial, then turn clockwise to tighten.
Step 5: Mount the aerial close to a window.
Step 6: Turn on your Freeview TV, box or receiver, and adjust the orientation of the DTA225, to get the best reception.
Note: Some Freeview TVs (such asAugust DTV700B), boxes and other receivers are capable of outputting power via coaxial cable. When connected to one of these devices, the DTA225 does not need to be connected to a USB power supply.

5.2 Use of TV aerial without USB amplifier
The TV aerial can also be used without the amplifier, although this will require a strong Freeview signal.
