3. Connect the vehicle radio cable lead to the cable marked “TO FM RADIO” on the adapter (optional antennaadapter may be required).

Note: The FM antenna connector used to connect the FM Direct to the audio/stereo system may require an additional antenna adapter. Some audio/stereo systems have AM antennas that require an active bias from your vehicle’s audio/stereo system. If AM reception is not restored, try a different antenna adapter that will allow the active bias to reach the AM antenna. Professional installation is recommended
The Audiovox XM FM Direct Adapter may be tie-wrapped to existing wire harnesses or other under-dash structures, or placed under a seat. The adapter should be constrained in some way to help prevent it from causing annoying rattles or other noise and/or chafing.
T urning on the Audiovox XM FM Direct Accessory
With ignition in the Accessory position, the XM FM Direct Adapter is always on in a standby condition. When you turn on your XM radio, the adapter will automatically switch the vehicle stereo input from your FM antenna to an XM signal
Changing the Transmitting Frequency
The XM FM Direct allows you to input the signal from your XM radio directly into your vehicle’s radio.
You can select the frequency on which the broadcast is sent from your XM radio controls in the same manner as you would for the wireless modulation mode. (See your XM radio user manual for more information.) Set your vehicle’s radio to the same FM frequency as the one selected for your XM radio.
