Safety Information
Note:
Before connecting the AC power cord to the DC adapter outlet, make sure the voltage designation of the DC adapter corresponds to the local electrical supply. If you are unsure of your power supply, ask your local power company.
CAUTION:
To avoid electric shock, never touch the inside of the LCD TV. Only qualified technicians should open the case of the LCD TV
WARNING:
Do not defeat the safety purpose of grounding-type. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding pin. The third pin is
provided for your safety. If the plug does not fit, ask your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not modify the plug. To do so will void the safety feature.
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, and annoying interference, use the recommended accessories only.

Precautions
Please read these precautions before operating this unit.
Power cord protection:
Never use your LCD TV if the power cord has been damaged. Do not allow anything to rest on the power cord, and keep the cord away
from where people can trip over it.
Be sure to hold the plug, not the cord, when disconnecting the LCD TV from an electric socket. Locate your LCD TV near an easily accessible AC outlet.
Placement
Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer; or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use
with caution when moving the cart to avoid injury from tip-over. Follow all instructions regarding their use exactly.
An appliance and a cart combination should be moved with care. quick stops, excessive force, and uneven surfaces may cause the
appliance and cart to overturn.
Avoid placing the LCD TV in areas of direct sunlight, high temperature or high humidity or high levels of dust. The internal parts may be
damaged as a result.
High temperature can cause problems. Don’t use your LCD TV in direct sunlight, and keep it away from it – unplug it immediately and
contact an authorized dealer or service center.
Please put the LCD TV in a location with low humidity and a minimum of dust. Place the LCD TV on a solid surface and treat it carefully. The screen is made of thin glass with a plastic front surface and can be
damaged if dropped, hit or scratched.
Non-use Periods
Unplug the LCD TV when it is going to be left unused for and extended period of time.
Foreign Object
Never insert anything metallic into the cabinet openings of the liquid crystal display (LCD) TV; doing so may create the danger of electric
shock.
Keep away from water / magnetic fields
Do not expose the LCD to rain or use it near water (in kitchens, near swimming pools, etc.). If the LCD accidentally got wet, unplug it
and contact an authorized dealer immediately.
Do not clean the front with ketone-type materials (e.g., Acetone), ethyl alcohol, toluene, ethyl acid, methyl, or chloride-as these may
damage the panel.
Keep the unit away from flower vases, tubs, sinks, etc. If liquids are spilled into the unit, serious damage will occur.
Stacking
Openings in the LCD TV cabinet are provided for ventilation. To prevent overheating, these openings should not be blocked or covered. Also, avoid using the LCD TV on a bed, soft, rug, or other soft surface. Doing so may block the ventilation openings in the bottom of the cabinet. If you put the LCD TV in a bookcase or some other enclosed space, be sure to provide adequate ventilation.
Servicing
If the LCD TV does not operate normally – in particular, if there are any unusual sounds or smells coming from it – unplug it immediately
and contact an authorized dealer or service center.
Unplug your LCD TV from the AC outlet before any service. Be sure the service technician uses authorized replacement parts or their equivalents. Unauthorized parts may cause fire, electrical
shock, or other hazards.
Following any service or repair, be sure the service technician performs safety checks to certify that the LCD TV
is in safe operating order.

Remote Control
Battery installation
Insert the batteries while observing the correct (+) and (-) polarities.
Service life of batteries
The batteries normally last for about one year although this depends on how often and for what operations the remote control is used. If the remote control unit fails to work even when it is operated near the unit, replace the batteries. Use 2 x “AA” type batteries
Notes:
Do not use rechargeable (NI-Cd) batteries. Do not attempt to recharge, short-circuit or disassemble batteries. Never place
batteries close to a heat source such as radiators or heaters.
Dispose of batteries in a responsible manner. Never throw batteries into a fire. Do not drop or step on the remote control unit. This may damage the parts or lead to
malfunction.
Do not mix old and new batteries. If the remote control unit is not going to be used for long time, always remove the
batteries to prevent leakage.
Remote control operation range
Point the remote control no more than about 6m for the remote control sensor and within 60º from the Infrared Receiver
The operating distance may vary according to the brightness of the room.
Notes:
Do not point bright lights at the remote control sensor. Do not place objects between the remote control and the infrared receiver Do not use this remote control while simultaneously operating the remote control of any other equipment.
