YOUR “ Code Hopping “ TRANSMITTERS
The transmitters included with your new security system use the most advanced and secure form of radio frequency transmission available on any current automotive security system. Some of today’s sophisticated auto thieves use a device known as a code grabber, which will receive and store the signal from your keychain transmitter, and retransmit at a later time to disarm your system. Your code hopping transmitters will change their signal every time the button is pressed, so when a thief grabs then retransmits your signal, the alarm system
will not
respond. If your transmitter button is pressed more than fifty times while it is out of range of the vehicle ( children playing with your keys ), the transmitter will not operate when you return to the vehicle and will need to be realigned to the receiver. To do this, simply press the lock button two times within a one second time period. The system will now respond to that transmitter each time a button is pressed. NOTE: Your system has the option of using a siren, the vehicle horn, or both for

the sounding device. Where the siren is referenced below, the horn or both may in fact chirp, or beep.
Your SYSTEM is also packaged with a two way confirming transmitter shown Left which has Icon LED's to indicate the function and status of your vehicle.
The top LED indicates: a) Transmit, whenever a transmitter button is operated
this LED will turn on Green.
b) Out of range, when after pressing a transmitter button, if the unit does not receive the command, this LED will turn on Red and the transmitter will beep twice indicating the command was not received or acted upon by the unit in the vehicle.
c) Low Battery, if when pressing any transmitter button, this

the command is received and acted upon by the unit in the vehicle, this LED will light Red and the transmitter will beep once, then will continue flash once every 10 seconds so
it was last left in. The Unlock LED Indicates: When the unlock button on the transmitter is pressed and the command
The Trunk LED Indicates: When the Trunk transmitter button is operated for three seconds, if the
optional trunk release option is installed, the vehicle's trunk will open.

T wo Way T ransmitter Operation:
The two way transmitter depicted in this manual operates similar to any transmitter with the exception that it will also indicate that the vehicle acted upon the command issued.
Locking: Press and release the Lock Icon Button on the transmitter and the unit, providing it is within range of the vehicle, will lock the vehicle doors and report back that the command was acted upon by breifly turning on the Lock LED and beeping once. This lock LED will flash 1 time every 10 seconds until the Unlock command is issued.
Press and hold for lock button for three seconds causes the unit to go into the panic mode. See panic mode referenced later on in this manual.
Unlocking: Press and release the Unlock Icon Button on the transmitter and the unit, providing it is within range of the vehicle, will unlock the vehicle doors and report back that the command was acted upon by breifly turning on the Unlock LED and beeping twice. This unlock LED will flash 1 time every 10 seconds until the lock command is issued.
Press and hold for unlock button for three seconds causes the unit to go into the car finder mode. See panic mode referenced later on in this manual.
Operating The Trunk Release: When the Trunk transmitter button is operated for three seconds, if the optional trunk release option is installed, the vehicle's trunk will open. The Trunk LED will flash 4 times.
NOTE: Must Have Electric Trunk Release. If this button is operated two times in succession, an optional alternate device
will be activated. Check with your installation to see if either or both these optional features are installed, and how they are operated.
The Option Button: Press and release the OPT Button on the transmitter and the unit, providing it is within range of the device it is controling, will operate the device. This option button can be programmed into a number of Audiovox accessories. If the accessory is a second two way Audiovox Remote Start Unit, perhaps installed in a second vehicle, then the vehicle will act upon the command but only the prime transmitter for that vehicle will indicate the command was acted upon.
T oggling Between Vibrate, Chirp, or Both Chirp & Vibrate:
The two way transmitter offers the option of having Beep Tones, Vibration, or Both Beep Tones & Vibration associated with the function responses of the transmitter.
To toggle between these modes, press simultaneously the "F" function button and the Unlock Icon Button. The transmitter will beep, beep & vibrate, or vibrate only toggeling on the specific preference.

Check Vehicle Status:
Press the lock+key+option buttons simultaneously for 1 second. The vehicle's alarm will display the systems current status breifly by flashing the LED associated with the state the vehicle was left in. This feature is useful if you do not want to wait the 10 seconds for a LED to display the status or if you just want to check the status without operating the Lock or Unlock buttons.
ARMING THE SYSTEM - ACTIVE
1. Turn off the engine, exit the vehicle and close all doors, hood lid and trunk lid.
2. Press and release the Lock button on the keychain transmitter.
SILENT ARMING - ACTIVE
1. Turn off the engine, exit the vehicle, and close all doors, hood lid, and trunk lid.
2. Press and hold the Lock button on the keychain transmitter for 2 seconds.
þ Dash mounted LED begins to flash slowly.
þ Parking Lights flash one time. þ Siren sounds one chirp.
If the siren/horn sounds 3 chirps, then you have left a door, trunk, or hood lid ajar. Simply close the opened entry point to provide full protection. If the siren "chirped" three times, sometime after arming, the exclusive delayed dome light learn circuit has been programmed and the system detected a open entry point after the learned delay expired. Again, closing the hood, trunk, or doors
will correct the problem and you do not need to disarm the system to make the correction. If the siren/horn did not sound when arming, then the chirps have been turned off and you should refer to the section titled "ELIMINATING THE ARM/DISARM CHIRPS" in this manual.
