appreciate the many functions and safeguards incorporated in this system. please spend a few minutes reading this manual. You may fInd unexpected features that could mean the diff~nce between "protected" and "fully protected".

YOUR KEYCHAIN TRANSMITTE!!.ยง:
The transmitters included with this security system are pre-programmed at the factory. with buUOn assigmnents (channels) prioritized in a standard format. You can select which transmitter button controls a particular fuoctiOD, (seethe transmitter programming guide). This manual explains the operation of the system assuming that the transmiuerbuttoos are prioritized in their standard, factory pre-set format.
~G THE SYSTEM (CHANNEL I) : AC!!y!-
1. Turn off the engine, exit the vehicle, and close and~~ hood, and tnmk.
2. Press and ~Icasc the largcr ARMING button on the keychain transmitter. The siren will "chirp" once, the vehicle's parking lights will flash once, the doors will lock, and the dash
mounted L.E.D. will begin to slowly flash.
w ARNING! Excessive pressure on the transmitter buttons will damage the Internal components on the circuit board. All that is required is a light push to the button.
NOTE: If the siren "chirped" three times when ARMING, then one of the entry points (hood.trunk, doors) has been left opened. Closing the hood, trunk, or doors will conect
the problem. and you do not need to disamt the system to make the correction.
ARMING THE SYSTEM (CHANNEL I) : p ASSIVE
1. Turn off the engine, exit the vehicle, and close and lock a11 doors, hood, and trunk.
2. The dash mounted L.RD. wilt begin to flash rapidly, indicating that the System is automatically (passive) arming. As an added convenience, the automatic passive arming
will not begin until all doors and trunk lid are closed, allowing passengers to exit the vehicle at their convenience.
3. In 30 seconds, you will hear a single short "chirp" from the siren. and the vehicle'sg lamps will flash one time, indicating the system is ARMED. At this time, the dash
mounted L.E.D. will begin to flash slowly, providing a visual indication that the system is fully ARMED.
OPTION NOTE: The alanD control module can be programmed to...
a) Automatically lock the doors during step 3 above or, b) Only lock the doors when step 4 below is executed
4. If you wish to arm the system immediately, simply press and release the larger ARMING button on the keychain transmitter. The siren will "chirp" once, the vehicle's parking lamps will flash once, the doors will lock, and the dash mounted L.E.D. will bc.-gin to slowly flash.

PROTEcrlON WHILE THE SYSTEM IS ARMED:
Opening any door, hood or tnmk will cause the al3IDl to immediately sound. The siren
will continue to sound for 60 seconds. then Stop and automatically re-3IDl the vehicle. If the potential thief left a door opened, the siren will sound for three 60 second cycles, then re-3IDl and ignore the opened door.

2. Whenever the system is anned, the Red dash mounted L.E.D. indicator will slowly flash. This serves as a visual detenent to the potential thief. The LE.D. is a very low current bulb, and will DOt cause the vehicle's battery to drain, even when left unaueoded for extelK1ed periods.

3. Whenever the system is triggered. the vehicle's parking lights will flash for the 60 second alam1 cycle, attracting added visual attention to the vehic)~,
4. Whenever the system is triggered, the interior COurtesy lights will flash for the duration of the full alaIm cycle.
s. Whenever the system is armed. the vehicle's starter will be bypassed If a thief should
choose to ignore the siren, the vehicle can not be started.
DISARMING THE SYSTEM (CHANNEL I) :

I. As you approach the vehicle, press and release the larger ARMING button on the keychain
~tter.
2. The siren will "chixp" 2 times, the vehicle's parking lamps will flash two times, the doors will unlock. and the vehicle's interior counesy light will turn on for approximately 30 seconds, indicating the system is DISARMED.
NOTE: If the optional2-step unlock feature was installed, then only the driver's door will unlock during Step 2 above. To disann the a1ann and unlock all doors. press the transmitter button two times within three seconds. The alann will disarm. and all doors will unlock..
3A. AcnVE : The dash mounted L.E.D. will turn off, and remain offuntil the system is re-
armed.
3B. PASSIVE : Never attempt to disann the system from a distance that prevents you from
opening a door within 30 seconds. Since the system is programmed for pasive arming,
it will begin to re-arm until a door is opened. Opening the door will suspend the pa3sivC'
am1ing cycle.

INTRUSI~N W ~G SIGN~:
The system will infOIn1 you if an intrusion attempt has occuned while you were away from the vehicle. If an intrusion attempt has ~ the sircn will "chirp" 4 times when disarming the system. The vehicle's parking lights will also flash 3 times to indicate an intrusion has occurred Enter the vehicle and observe the dash mounted L.E.D. for further information.
I. If the L.ED. is flashing one timc...pause...one time... etc.. then an intrusion attempt was
made to a voltage sensing. light activated entry point. or to an optional sensor that has been connected to zone I.
2. If the L.E.D. is flashing two times...pause...two timcs...etc.. then an intrusion attempt was made to the hood. trw1k. or an optional sensor that has been connected to zone 2.
3. If the L.E.D. is flashing three times...pause...three times...etc.. then an intrusion attempt
was made through one of the vehicle's doors.
These intrusion warning indicators ale stored in the system's memory. and will only be erased from memory when the ignition key is turned on.
v ALET I SYSTEM OVERRIDE SWITCH:

The "Valet" switcballows you to temporarily bypass all alarm functions, eliminating the n to hand your transmitter to parking attendants or garage mechanics. Wbcn the system is in valet mode, all alarm functions arc bypassed, however, the remote panic feature and remote door locks will remain operational. To use the valet mode;
I. Enter the vehicle and turn the ignition key to the "on" position.
2. Move the valet toggle switch to the "on" position. The dash mounted L.E.D. will turn on solid, and remain on as long as the system is in the valet mode.
3. To return to normal operation, move the valet switch to the "off' position any time the ignition is on.
In the cvcnt you lose your keychain transmitter, or if the transmitter fails to disaID1 the system, the valet switch can be used as a system override switch. Open the car door (the alarm win sound). Turn the ignition key on, and move the valet switch to the "on" position. The alarm will stop sounding, and the vehicle can now be started
NOTE: Always remember to move the Valet Switch back to the "off' position. This will ensure that the vehicle remains protected at all times.

ELIMINATING THE ARM I DISARM CHIRPS :
The nonnal anning and disamling confirmation "chilpS" can easily be tumcd on and off using the valet toggle switch. To 00 this I. The valet switch must be in the "off' position.
2. Tmn the ignition key on, and then off.
3. Within 10 seconds ofhJming the ignition key off. move the valet toggle switch to on- off
-on -off -on -then off.
4a. If, before proceeding with step I, the chirps were on, then you will hear 2 chirps to indicate
that the chirps have been turned off.
4b. If. before proceeding with step I, the chirps were off. then you will hear 1 chitp to indicate
that the chitps have been turned on.
s. Whenever power to the System is disconnected (for repair or service of the vehicle), the
chiIps will be active when the power is re-connected. To turn the chirps oif, simply
execute steps I through 3 above. NOTE: Whenever the chirps are by-passed, the 4 chiIp intrusion indicator and the 3 chiIp defective zone indicator will always operate. This feature will always warn you if the vehicle was tampered with in your absence, even if the normal arming and disanning chirps have been turned ()if.
REMOTE PANIC OPERAnON (CHANNEL I) :
The 8m1ing button on your kcychain transmitter also functions as a "panic" switch for instant activation of the alarm in emcrgcncy situations. To use the remote panic switch;
I. Press and bold the aIming button on the kcychain transmitter for 3 seconds or more. The
a1aIJD will immediately sound
2. Tostop the alarm. press and relcasc the arming button on the keychain transmitter. If the button is not presscd, the alarm will automatically stop after 60 seconds.

TRUNK RELEASE (CHANNEL 2) :
'~--, This security systcmhas an on-board tnmk.release relay. that will activate the existing factory installed electronic tnmk. release switch. To remotely open the tnmk. press and hold the smallcr button on the keychain transmitter for 3 to 4 seconds.
ADDmONAL REMOTE FUNCflON(CBANNEL 3) :
This security system has an additional feature that can be wired to a number of different optional accessories. Some ofthc more common uses for this "channel" are;
.Remotc Car Starter .available for most automatic transmission, fuel injected vehicles. .Remote Window Roll Up. available for most vehicles equippcd with power windows.
To activate the optional accessory;
I. Press and release both buttons on the keychaju transmitter simultaneously.
2. The optional accessory that has been wired to CHANNEL 3 will now engage.
