Description
The AT8539 power module allows any Audio-Technica Wireless Essentials® microphone to operate as a wired microphone. The power module’s HRS-type 4-pin input connector mates with any Audio-Technica Wireless Essentials® (wireless microphone with model number ending in a cW); its output is a standard 3-pin XLRM-type connector.
It offers a low-cut lter to help minimize the pickup of unwanted low frequencies. To engage the low-cut lter, use the end tip of a paperclip or other small pointed instrument to slide the switch toward the “bent” line.
The power module is constructed of rugged steel for maximum durability and optimum shielding from hum. A snap-on belt clip is included.
Architect’s and Engineer’s Specications
The in-line power module shall allow any Audio-Technica wireless microphone terminated with a 4-pin HRS-type connectors to connect to a wired microphone circuit. The input connection shall be through an HRS-type 4-pin connector. Output shall be a standard 3-pin XLRM-type connector. The power module shall convert the audio signal to a standard balanced line microphone level output as well as provide operating DC bias voltage for the attached microphone. An integral low-cut lter shall, when engaged, roll off the low-end audio at 80 Hz with a slope of 18 dB per octave. The lter shall be engaged via a recessed switch. The power module shall be constructed of metal for optimum shielding from hum. Output impedance shall be 250 ohms.
