AC Fuse—The AC fuse inside the unit is not userserviceable. If you cannot turn on the unit, contact
your dealer.

Care—Occasionally you should dust the unit all
over with a soft cloth. For stubborn stains, use a soft
cloth dampened with a weak solution of mild
detergent and water. Dry the unit immediately
afterwards with a clean cloth. Don’t use abrasive
cloths, thinners, alcohol, or other chemical solvents,
because they may damage the finish or remove the
panel lettering.

FIRST TIME, READ THE FOLLOWING

Make sure that the voltage in your area meets the
voltage requirements printed on the unit’s rear
panel (e.g., AC 110-240 V , 50/60 Hz).
The power cord plug is used to disconnect this unit
from the AC power source. Make sure that the plug
is readily operable (easily accessible) at all times.
Pressing the [POWER] button to select OFF mode
does not fully disconnect from the mains. If you do
not intend to use the unit for an extended period,
remove the power cord from the AC outlet.

Before Usin g Your New Speakers
Speaker Precaution s
The speake rs can handl e the specif ie d input power
when used for normal music reproduction. If they’ re
fed any o f the f oll ow ing sign als, even if the input
power is w ithin the spe cif ie d rat ing, e x cessive current
may flo w in the speake r coil s, caus ing bur ni ng or w ire
breakage:

Using Close to a CRT-type TV or
Computer
(In the following e xpl anatio n, TV refers to a CRT-
type TV.)

Place the spea ke rs on s tur dy, fl at surf ace s. Put ting
them on uneven or unstable surfaces where they may
fall and cause damag e a n d af fe ct the s o und qual ity.

Do not keep water or other liquids close to the
speakers. If a liquid is spilled over them, the woofer
and tweete r inside may be damag ed.
·
Do not handlethe speakers with w e t or damp hands .
TVs and computer monitors are magne tically sensiti ve
devices an d as s uch ar e l ikely to suf fe r fr om
discoloration or picture distortion when conventional
speakers are place d ne arby. To prevent this, the
speakers feature internal magnetic shielding. In some
situations , ho w e ve r , dis colo ration m ay st ill be an is sue.
In this case, turn off your TV or monitor, wait 5 to 0
minutes, and then turn it back on again. This normally
activ ates the de gaussing function, which neutr alizes the
magnetic f ie ld, the reby remo ving a ny discolorat ion
eff ects. I f discolo ratio n pro blems pers ist, try mov ing
the speakers away from your TV or monitor . Note that
discoloration can also be caused by a magnet or
demagnetiz ing too l tha t’s too clos e to y our TV o r
monitor.

If the speakers are pl aced close to a TV or monitor,
due to the e lectro magnetic w av es ra diated by the TV
or monitor, you may hear noise f r o m the speakers
eve n afte r your amplifier has be e n turned off. To
prevent this, position the speakers away from your

such as CD-ROMs for PC use. Abnormal noise could
damage the unit and/or speakers.

or octagons). These types of discs could damage the

Wireless Playback via Bluetooth
The mini Hi-fi enables you to wirelessly play music
from your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, tablet,
mobile music player, or personal computer via
Bluetooth.
To play back music via Bluetooth, you must first
pair the unit with your Bluetooth-enabled device.
Once pairing is established, the pairing information
is stored in both devices and you will not need to
repeat the pairing process.
However, if you delete the device registration from
either device and the pairing information is deleted,
you must pair the devices again.
