Avantek Nine

The Crown jewel in the Avantek series.
Avantek NINE has the same soft-shaped cabinet made in
rigid MDF wood, and the baffle houses the same con­figuration as Avantek FIVE, but the rest is different - very
different. We have placed an 8” long-throw powered
subwoofer under the speaker. The subwoofer power is
delivered from a 150 W ace-bass amplifier and the bass
performance is even enhanced by the AirFlow bass port
placed on the rear side.

In the Avantek NINE we combine the pure and transparent
Avantek sound with brutal power and control in the bass
area. In a 5.1 Home Theater set-up, you won’t need an
additional subwoofer, since Avantek NINE accepts both
speaker-level and line input. In a 5.1 Home Theater set-up,
the subwoofer channel is separately connected to line-in.
Both speaker and line input levels are separately adjusted.

The crossover solutions are quite extreme on this model.
The Hi-Pass level of the subwoofer upper bass is cut
24 dB/octave. For maximum performance, the two 5 1/4”
drivers, in a D’Appolito configuration, are cut 24 dB
Hi-Pass at 100 Hz, 6 dB/octave at 2,800 Hz and 12 dB at
10,000 Hz. These two crossover points allow the speaker
to perform much better staging, and ensure 3-D stability.
The crossover carries only high-class components and air
coils.
