ThankyouforpurchasingtheAudioNoteTT-2turntable.Afewminutes
readingtheseinstructionswillensuremaximumenjoymentandeaseof
use.
1.Carefullyunpackallpartsandremovepolythenebagsetc.
2.Placeturntableonalevelflatsurfacefreefromvibration.Awall
mountedshelforpreferablyanequipmentstandwouldbeidealforthis
purpose.
3.Removetransitscrewstoreleasethesprungsub-chassis.Removethe
armboardfasteningboltswiththe3mmallenkeyprovided.Thiswillallow
easyinstallationofthechosentonearmandcartridge.Installthetonearm
parallelwiththeedgeofthearmboard(althoughonlyanaesthetic
requirement)andinstrictaccordancewiththemanufacturer’s
instructions.Refitthearmboardandtonearmtotheturntableandreplace
fasteningboltswithoutfullytighteningthem.Atthisstagethedrivebelts
shouldbefittedaroundthesmalldrivepulleysandacrylicdrivehub.Fit
thefirstbelttothepulleyfurthestawayfromthefrontofthedeckinthe
LOWERposition,fittingthesecondbeltcarefullyabovethefirstone.Note
thatthebeltswillalignthemselvesuponstartupofthedeck,soonlyan
approximateposition onthehubisnecessary,butingeneralaimforboth
thebeltstobeslightlyabovethemiddleoftherunningedgeofthedrive
hub.Finallyplacetheplatterontothetopofthehub.Noticethetwo
groovesinthedrivepulleys.Thetopgrooveisfor33rpmandthebottom
for45rpmplayback.USETHESAMEGROOVEFORBOTHMOTOR
PULLEYS.
4.Withthetonearmandplatterinplacethesprungsub-chassiscanbe
properlylevelled.Makingsurethattheturntableplynthislevel,adjustthe
threechassisadjustmentscrewswiththe4mmallenkeyprovided.The
bottomedgeoftheplattershouldbe5mmabovetheplynth.Turnthe
screwsclockwisetoraisethesuspensionandanti-clockwisetolowerit.
Atthisstageaffixthetonearmcableintothewhiteclipatthebackfothe
plynth,makingsurethesuspensioncanmovefreelyupanddown,then
tightenthearmboardbolts.Thefinaltonearmandcartridgealignment
adjustmentscannowbemade.
5.Sometonearmshaveaseparateearthleadwhichcanbeattachedto
theearthingpost.Othertonearmsdonotrequirethis.
6.Donotremovethedrivehubfromthebearingassemblyasaquantityof
oilandballbearinghavebeenfittedfromthefactory.Asmallsyringeofoil
has beensuppliedincaseoflossorspillage,ofwhichonly2-3dropsare
required.
7.Theattractivegreypaintfinishisextremelyhardwearingandstable.To
keepupitsvisualappealitshouldbedustedcarefullywithaclean,soft
paintbrushasrequired.Formorestubbornmarksorstains,adegreasing
fluidapprovedforpaintedsurfacesonaspongecanbeused.
