Battery
To ensure that messages and the time/date are retained (maximum 24 hours)
during a power failure, a good quality PP3 9V alkaline battery must be installed.
If a battery is not installed or is running low, the B indicator will ash, you
will need to change the battery as soon as possible.
The battery compartment is located on the underside of the telephone.
1. Ensure the telephone line cord is disconnected from the telephone network
wall socket.
2. To access the battery compartment, carefully push the retaining clip that
holds the cover in place moving it away from the Ringer switch.
3. Install the battery ensuring the correct battery polarity is observed.
4. Replace the battery cover.
Connection
When the battery has been installed.
1. Connect the telephone line cord to the socket marked T on the underside
of the telephone and then to a telephone network wall socket.
2. A click will be heard when the modular plug is correctly in place.
3. Connect the mains adapter to the socket marked Y on the underside of
the telephone and then to an electrical wall socket. You will hear a few
tones.
4. Position the cables in the grooves underneath the telephone.
5. Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone. Your telephone is now
operational.
6. You will need to record an outgoing message (page 6), and also set the
day/time stamp (page 7).
Wall Mounting
1. Secure two screws, vertically positioned 100 mm apart.
2. The screws should locate into the two ‘keyholes’ on the back of the
telephone.
Alternatively this telephone can be mounted onto an existing telephone wall plate (Australia).

Mute Button
The handset microphone can be disabled during a call by pressing and holding z.
Redial Button
If the number dialled is engaged or if you wish to redial the last number dialled,
lift the handset and press the redial button r.
Volume Control (handset)
The handset volume may be adjusted during a call using the switch located on
the handset.
Ringer
The Ringer volume can be set to – high, low or off – using the switch located on
the underside of the telephone
Additional Network Services
Access to additional network services can be gained by using the recall button R,
and # keys. Contact your network operator for more information.

Press the recall button R followed by the extension number to transfer calls when
connected to a PBX (TBR only).

Memory
This telephone has 10 indirect memories.
When a number is stored in a memory location, you need to press only two
buttons to make the call. The memories are stored on the keypad digits 0-9.
Storing Memories
1. Lift the handset and press P (ignore anything you hear in the earpiece).
2. Enter the desired telephone number (up to 16 digits).
3. Press P.
4. Enter a memory location 0-9 on the telephone keypad.
5. Replace the handset. The number will now be stored.
Memory Dialling
1. Lift the handset and wait for the dialling tone.
2. Press
3. Select a memory location by pressing the relevant keypad number, 0-9.

Press r. If you want a pause in the telephone number.
In case of a number change, store the new number in the location of the old one following
the procedure above.
