INTRODUCTION
•The names and functions of the RCP front panel are as follows:
1. Tuner Off – To turn the tuner to the “off” state or to select the tuner during
ca ss e t t e pla yba c k ( t h e c a ss ett e w ill sto p if t h e t u n er “off” butt o n is press ed
during playback).
2. AM/FM Dolby - To select the radio band (AM or FM)or to select Dolby
Noise Reduction during cassette playback (the cassette will stop if the
Dolby butto n is pressed during playback; the play button must be pressed
to r estart playback).
3. Track (Forward) – To fast-forward a cassette o r to st ar t a forward
radio station search while player is in tuner mode.
4. Track (Reverse) - To reverse a cassette or to start a reverse radio
station search while player is in tuner mode.

5. Play/Reverse -- To play or reverse playback direction without having
to r emove the casset te. Select cassette playback from tuner mode if a
cassette is loaded.
6. Eject - To eject a casset te from the unit.

RADIO OPERATION
1. Press “Tuner” button to activate the radio.
2. Press AM/FM to select t he desired band. Each time you press, the band switches
between AM/FM.
3. The AM/FM DOLBY button, track advance , and track reverse buttons
may be ut ilize d t o “search” for and lock in a radio stat ion. Press the appropr iate
button until the desired station is located. The digital display will indicate the
selected station.
4. Press “Tuner Off” to deactivate the radio.

CASSETTE PLAYER OPERATION
1. Insert a cassette into the slot with the label facing up. The digital display will
read “cassette - IN”. The symbol will illuminate when a cassette is being
played.
2. Press to reverse playback direction of the tape to the opposite side of the
inserted cassette. The symbol or symbol will illuminate on the digital
display to indicate the direction of play of the cassette.

and eject from the slot.
4. To fast-forward cassette play, press the symbol. The cassette will fastforward until the next select ion is locat ed. Fast-forward will st op and playback
will resume.
5. To reverse cassette play, press the symbol. The cassette will reverse
playback until the preceding selection is located. Reverse search will stop and
playback will r esume.

count t he number of selections from 1 to 9. Play starts at t he beginning of the
displayed select ion numb er .
7. To make a forward track search, press the symbol. The display will
indicate a “1”. Pre ss o nce to fast for war d to t he nex t se lect ion (th e disp lay will
indicat e a “2”), pre ss t wice to fast for war d t o t he ne xt se lect ion (t he dis play will
indicate a “3”), etc. through 9 selections. Play starts at the beginning of the
displayed track number.
8. To eject the cassette from the slot, pr ess the eject symbo l .
