1.0 INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing this Cat 5 HDMI extender system from Audio Authority.
The EDP-11 transmits HDMI signals digitally over Cat 5 cables. Using Cat 5e or
Cat 6 cables allows installers to use less expensive wire over longer distances,
and terminate the cables in the eld. The EDP-11 can achieve distances from 115
to 195 feet depending on the type of cable used, and the resolution and audio bit
rate of the source and sink.
Note: the EDP-11 (Models 1384TD and 1384RD) Transmitter and Receiver only
operate together, and do not function with any other Cat 5 system components,
such as the 1381T or 1381R.

1.1 SYSTEM FEATURES
• Maximum resolutions: 1080p @ 60Hz,1920x1200
• Supports 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p and multiple PC resolutions
• Requires two Cat 5e or Cat 6 UTP cables (Cat 6 is recommended)
• Maximum distance using Cat 5e cable: 115 ft (1080p) or 130 ft (1080i)
• Maximum distance using Cat 6 cable: 145 ft (1080p) or 195 ft (1080i)
• Supports up to 36 bit color depth /12 bits per color (TMDS channel)
• Supports Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital TrueHD and DTS-HD: Master Audio
• HDMI version 1.3 compliant, HDCP 1.1 compliant
2.0 CHECKING PACKAGE CONTENTS
Before connecting the EDP-11, please make certain the following items are in
the shipping carton. (If you purchased the 1384TD or 1384RD separately, ignore
irrelevant items.)
