system. To get the best from your new amplifier, we advise you to use only good-quality components

APERTURA DELL’IMBALLO
The shipping box should contain the following items apart from the amplifier and this
owner's manual:
Remote control
Two AAA size batteries
AC power cord
A pair of gloves
Warranty certificate
Please check if all has been included: if not, contact your dealer. After opening the box,
carefully extract the amplifier wearing the gloves you will find inside the box and remove
its protective plastic bag; check for any damage that may have been caused by poor
transport. With a Philips screwdriver, unscrew the bottom cover of the remote control
and insert the two AAA batteries in the battery holder inside the remote control. Then
replace and tighten the bottom cover. Please retain all packing materials in case the
unit needs to be transported for servicing.

Si prega di controllare; nel caso di eventuali mancanze, contattate il rivenditore. Dopo
aver aperto l'imballo, estraete l’amplificatore con cura utilizzando i guanti forniti in
dotazione e rimuovete la sua busta protettiva; controllate l’amplificatore per eventuali
danni causati da un trasporto poco accurato. Con un cacciavite a croce, aprite il
coperchio inferiore del telecomando ed inserite le due pile nel portapile. Poi richiudete
il coperchio del telecomando. Si prega di conservare l'imballo intatto nel caso in cui
occorra inviare l'apparecchio al centro di assistenza tecnica.

During regular operation, it’s quite normal that the amplifier warms up. For this reason,
at least 2-3” clearance above and around the cabinet must be provided to ensure
adequate ventilation and, most of all, the ventilation holes should not be obstructed.
Resting the unit on a hard, flat surface not covered by carpet or moquette is recommended.
Durante il funzionamento, è normale che l’amplificatore riscaldi. Per questo motivo,
almeno 5-8 cm di spazio sopra devono essere lasciati per assicurare una adeguata
ventilazione e, soprattutto, i fori di aerazione non devono essere ostruiti. Solitamente
si hanno i migliori risultati sistemando l’amplificatore su una superficie dura e piana
non coperta da tappeti o moquette.
Before connecting the amplifier to the mains socket, please check that the voltage
setting, indicated on the rear panel near the IEC inlet, corresponds to your local AC
voltage. NEVER CONNECT THE UNIT TO A DIFFERENT VOLTAGE THAN THAT
INDICATED! After positioning the amplifier correctly, first insert the IEC plug of the
mains cable in the inlet on the amplifier's rear panel then insert the mains plug in the
household wall outlet. There are six fuses: two of them are the mains fuses located in
a receptacle next to the IEC inlet together with a spare and the other four are inside
the cabinet on the PCB. The value for the mains fuses is 6.3A fast blow for 220-240V
systems, whereas for 110-120V systems, the correct value is 12A fast blow.The value
for the fuses inside the cabinet is always 8A fast blow. Always replace with the same
type! For the UK only, please follow the instructions on fitting a mains plug on the
"Safety Instructions and Maintenance" page.
Prima di alimentare l’amplificatore, controllare che la tensione di alimentazione, indicata
sul pannello posteriore in prossimità della presa IEC, corrisponda a quella locale di
rete. NON COLLEGARE MAI L'AMPLIFICATORE AD UNA TENSIONE DI RETE
DIVERSA DA QUELLA INDICATA! Dopo aver collocato l’amplificatore correttamente,
prima inserire la spina IEC del cordone di rete nella presa sul pannello posteriore poi
inserire la spina nella presa a muro. Ci sono tre fusibili: uno è quello di rete e si trova
nel portafusibile incorporato nella presa IEC insieme a quello di scorta e due si trovano
all’interno dell’apparecchio. Il valore del fusibile di rete é di 6,3A rapido per sistemi a
220-240V, mentre é di 12A rapido per sistemi a 110-120V. Il valore dei fusibili all’interno
dell’apparecchio è di 8A rapido. Sostituire sempre con altri dello stesso tipo!

3 Power/Standby/Fault indicator - Spia di
Alimentazione/Standby/Malfunzionamento
Glows green when unit is powered up and operating. Glows red when stand by
mode is selected. Blinks red when the unit enters the emergency mode.
Si accende color verde quando l'amplificatore é alimentato e operativo. Si accende
color rosso quando viene selezionata la modalità stand by. Lampeggia in rosso
quando l’unità entra in modalità emergenza.
4 Record Selector – Selettore di Registrazione
Selects the input signal to be fed to TAPE OUT on the rear panel; this allows the
user to listen to one input while recording another. There is also an OFF position
that isolates the TAPE OUT circuitry from the signal path; we advise you to place
the selector in this position when not recording.
Seleziona il segnale d’ingresso da inviare all’uscita TAPE OUT sul pannello
posteriore; questo fa sì che si possa ascoltare una sorgente mentre si registra
un’altra. La posizione OFF (spento) isola la circuitazione TAPE OUT dal percorso
del segnale; consigliamo di utilizzare questa selezione quando non si registra.
5 Source/Record Indicators - Spie degli Ingressi/Registrazione When the
amplifier is not in mute mode, the green-glowing led indicates the chosen source
for listening, while the red-glowing led indicates the chosen source for recording.
When the green led blinks, the amplifier is in mute mode (operated by the remote
control). Quando l’amplificatore non è in muting, il led acceso di verde indica
la sorgente scelta per l’ascolto, mentre il led rosso indica la sorgente scelta per
la registrazione. Quando li led verde lampeggia, l’amplificatore è in muting (tramite
il telecomando).
6 Source Selector - Selettore d'Ingressi
Sequentially selects any one of the six available sources: MM/MC phono (PH1),
line 2 to 6.
Seleziona sequenzialmente una qualunque delle sei sorgenti disponibili: phono
MM/MC (PH1), linea da 2 a 6.
7 Volume Control - Controllo di Volume
Sets the sound level of both channels simultaneously.
Regola il livello sonoro di entrambi i canali contemporaneamente.

Ingresso Giradischi (PH1)
Maestro Integrated Amplifier incorporates an on-board phono preamplifier capable
of interfacing both Moving Magnet and high-level Moving Coil cartridges (MM)
and low-level Moving Coil cartridges (MC). The preamplifier is factory preset to
MM and is internally switchable to MC. We advise you to refer to your dealer or
technician if switchover to MC is necessary, although the operation is quite easy
(see 'Service' chapter).
Il Maestro Integrated Amplifier é dotato di un preamplificatore phono capace di
interfacciare sia fonorivelatori a Magnete Mobile ed a Bobina Mobile ad alto livello
d'uscita (MM) sia fonorivelatori a Bobina Mobile a basso livello d'uscita (MC). Il
preamplificatore viene configurato in fabbrica per operare con fonorivelatori MM,
ma é possibile selezionare la configurazione MC accedendo all'interno. Consigliamo
di consultare il rivenditore o tecnico autorizzato se si dovesse rendere necessaria
la commutazione sulla configurazione MC, anche se l'operazione é alquanto
semplice (vedere capitolo 'Assistenza').

Because of Maestro Integrated Amplifier`s high current requirement, a special
16A socket and plug have been used. We recommend users not to replace the
high quality Audio Analogue Power cord shipped with the amplifier: poor
dynamic performance or damage may otherwise occur.
A causa delle notevoli richieste di corrente del Maestro Integrated Amplifier, si è
reso necessario ricorrere a una speciale vaschetta di rete da 16A con relativa
spina. Raccomandiamo di non sostituire il cavo di alimentazione di alta qualità
