The ASP510 allows up to three surround
'stems' or premixes to be monitored
simultaneously.
In the example shown the Effects and
Dialogue stems are routed direct from the
multitrack playback machines to the
ASP510 SURROUND PLAYBACK A and B
inputs respectively. The surround Music
mix from the console is routed via
Multitrack Recorder C to the SURROUND
BUS port of the ASP510.
Each of the three stems can then be
monitored using the surround
monitor source selection switches on the
ASP510:
SURROUND REC - Music stem
SURROUND PLAY A - Effects stem
SURROUND PLAY B - Dialogue stem
(Record/Playback switching for the Music
stem is performed by the recorder.)
The three stems can be monitored either
individually or in groups by using the Gang
and Lock functions.
At the same time a separate stereo music
mix can be derived, monitored and
recorded using the ASP510 stereo record
source selection switches.
