– Unplug connector -2-.
– Unscrew bolts -3- (3x).
Unplugging connector for front passenger's airbag key switch
– Press release mechanism -3- and pull connector -2- out of
switch -1-.

– Unscrew bolt -1- (6x), tightening torque 1 Nm.

1.3 Removing and installing glove box lock
♦ Removing:
– By carefully twisting screwdriver, prise out glove box opening
mechanism -1- at lug -2-.
Note
Lock cylinder is only to be removed with key inserted.
♦ Removing:
– Use screwdriver to carefully prise out retainers -1- (4x) in di‐
rection of arrow and at the same time press lock cylinder -2in direction of arrow.
♦ Installing:
– With key inserted, press in lock cylinder until all retainers en‐
gage.
♦ Installing:

– Position glove box opening mechanism -1- such that mounts
-2- fit into retainer tabs -5- (2x) and spring -3- fits into pin -4-.
– Carefully press glove box opening mechanism -1- into glove

– Guide handbrake lever button -1- with fasteners -2- into
mounts -4-.
– Carefully press handbrake lever button -1- onto handbrake
lever -3-.
1.21 Removing gearshift cover
– Twist off gear stick knob -1-.
– Unscrew bolts -2- (8x).
– Tightening torque 4 Nm
– Detach mounting frame -3- and trim -4-.
– On installation, pay attention to pin for front left locking ele‐
ment.

– Prise out caps -7-.
– Unscrew bolts -8- (2x).
– Pull out footwell vent
trim -1- to rear.
♦ Installing
– Make sure retainer -6-
engages in dash panel.
– Engage right footwell

2 Interior mirror
2.1 Removing and installing interior mirror with fixed base
♦ Removing:
– On disassembly, turn mirror -1- through 60... 90° -arrows B-
until locking spring is disengaged and detach mirror
-arrow A-.
♦ Installing:

– Take connector out of locator and unplug.

Do not turn by way of cable duct -2-.
