knowledge and imagination of human history. The principles of Newtonian laws, sure — but also the grace of
choreography, time-honored artisanal craftsmanship and the connectivity of modern life. The end result of

understanding to reflect something that goes deeper than our machines.

This time, we decided to break a few rules.

When it came to designing the Audi A3 in its Sedan and Cabriolet variants, we established a
whole new class. With incredible mechanical fortitude, technological ingenuity and design
precocity, the A3 is a product of an intense design eort to help ensure that size would
have no bearing on the level of luxury. The A3 boasts a roomy cabin and an extensive line­up of available advanced technologies that will impress even the most enthusiastic techie.
You could say the A3 is proof that Audi is constantly writing new rules on progressive
automotive design.

Light is a wave and an energy. It’s also a feeling. And an inspiration. Light is a physical manifesta­tion and a spiritual metaphor. For Audi designers, light represents the soul of automotive design.
We use it to give lines context, add a shimmering allure, or give shapes a visual texture or depth.
In the sun or on a city street, the vehicle becomes luminescent, a seductive, ever-shifting config­uration of energy itself, expressed in the brilliance of each design line.

you with the Audi A3. The A3 holds nothing back in passionate design that’s perfectly agile, highly emotional and exceptionally
progressive. Its combination of compelling, meticulously crafted design elements, like swooping architectural lines and the
iconic Singleframe® grille, creates a striking compact vehicle that is, overall, undoubtedly Audi. The A3 Sedan boasts an arching
C-pillar and low roofline to give the look and feel of a coupe, and the characteristic “V” shape of the hood, as viewed from the

We’re poets and we know it.

We like to think of ourselves as narrators of compelling stories inspired by each brilliantly crafted line. Take
the Tornado line, the characteristic crease that lies below the window line, as an example. It begins a dramatic
journey at the edge of the LED daytime running lights, and then travels boldly along each side of the vehicle,
where it rises into the body’s wide shoulders. This captivating line ends where it meets the highly contoured
rear edge above the Audi rings — the separating edge — and joins the iconic LED taillights, integrating into the
design and telling a beautiful story that’s just the first of a long, riveting series.

Full LED headlights

Welcome to the future of lighting. Each brilliant
square-millimeter diode within the available full
LED headlights is arranged meticulously to create
a sleek, wide shape that is distinctively Audi.
This technology helps ensure a long life for our
headlights and, with a near perfect re-creation of
daylight, helps make for a brilliantly lit road ahead.

S line® exterior

Athletic design is elevated in the A3 with available
S line exterior appearance. Sporty front and rear bum­pers and side sills, interior door sills with aluminum
inlays, S line fender badges and a Singleframe® grille
in High-gloss Black, exude powerful craftsmanship.

When you were a kid, you may have dreamed of becoming an astronaut or working in a mission
control room. Or maybe you just really liked to push buttons. Fortunately for you, the interior of
the Audi A3 is designed to be your very own mobile control room. With its wraparound dash design,
innovative, three-dimensional decorative inlays and horizontal design lines, the environment oers
a sense of space that feels like a larger sedan. Audi hallmark craftsmanship and design ingenuity
are apparent, from the minimalist design of the center console to the intuitive, slim-line control
buttons that were inspired by piano keys, giving the whole interior an elevated, uncluttered look.
You can consider it an ode to space camp.

Decorative interior inlays

Adding a touch of warmth and sophistication to
an already regal interior are beautifully crafted
decorative inlays. Available in numerous finishes,
they help create an interior space that speaks to
your artistic sensibilities.

Aluminum-optic air vents

The Aluminum-optic air vent surrounds are almost as
pleasing to look at as they are ecient at circulating
the air in the cabin. The airflow is easily adjusted by
turning the ring around the outside of the vent, an
action as intuitive as the air vent is attractive.

back seat driver.

Your passengers will never fight for the shotgun seat again. With a surprising amount of
leg room, supple leather seating surfaces and a standard panoramic sunroof, the interior
of the Audi A3 provides back seat passengers with uncompromised luxury. So, while you
may wish you could drive from the back seat, you will find peace of mind knowing that
your passengers are riding comfortably — and that you still have control of the wheel.

Panoramic sunroof

Illuminating every drive is the panoramic sunroof
with tilt functionality. It oers a nearly unimpeded
view of the sky and a feeling of infinite head room.
Of course, if you don’t want to fully engage with
the environment, a retractable shade feature is
there. So let the sun drench the interior of your A3
Sedan as you enjoy a captivating driving experience.

Sport seats

Performance is in the DNA of every Audi, and
the A3 is no exception. The available front sport
seats feature upper shoulder, thorax and seat
bolsters, and have extendable thigh supports.
These seats help provide a proper seating posi­tion and help keep you comfortable in the bends
and the straightaways.

Split folding rear seatbacks

With ample cargo space in the Sedan and Cabriolet,
the A3 is a capable carrier. The Cabriolet has 50/50
split folding rear seatbacks, while the Sedan features
a pass-through in the 60/40 split folding rear seat­backs. You can enjoy virtually all the benefits of a
sports car and still have room for your oversized toys.

Aluminum-optic trim

Aluminum-optic trim on the windshield sur­round and along the base of the windows,
flowing around the acoustic folding roof,
creates a subtle yet stylish look.

Retractable acoustic folding roof

The roof of the A3 Cabriolet invites you to take ad­vantage of clear skies for as long as the sun is out. If
clouds do come, it takes approximately 18 seconds
for the roof to fully deploy (even at speeds up to
31 mph). When the roof is up, it also helps pro­vide a great acoustic environment designed with
both sound-deadening and insulation properties.

Thermocool™ leather

The leather seating surfaces on the front seat of
our Audi A3 Cabriolet are designed with special
Thermocool™ reflecting pigments that, even in
direct sunlight, help reduce surface temperatures
up to 20 degrees, compared to untreated leathers.
It’s just another way we prove our commitment to
your comfort.

With an interior as luxurious as that of the Audi A3 Cabriolet, keeping a summer glow every
season has never been more appealing. The supple leather seating surfaces and available heated
front seats are comforting at any time of year, and with heat-reflecting pigments in the leather
front seat, the seating will almost always stay touchable. Add to that the fit and finish that help
