The FastStream SC 5500 Storage Controller is a
scalable RAID controller that delivers high
performance access to data and data protection
for applications in DVA and IT infrastructures
including 4K and 2K digital film production, high­definition video post, digital prepress, disk-to-disk
backup, medical imaging, email compliance, data
warehousing, data mining and transaction based
environments.

ATTO FastStream Storage Controllers provide
best of class performance and instant RAID parity
protection to any SAS or SATA storage device;
FastStream allows you to mix SAS and SATA
storage to integrate into a tiered storage solution.

Designed as a 1U external appliance which
integrates with SAS or SATA storage to provide
instant RAID protection over several JBOD arrays,
the FastStream SC 5500 provides a cost-effective
alternative to purchasing additional RAID arrays.
Whenever storage exceeds existing capacity
expanding existing RAID groups or adding new
RAID groups is as simple as connecting another
off-the-shelf JBOD drive enclosure.

By utilizing the “one-click” set-up wizard provided
by the ExpressNAV™ Storage Manager, tailoring
storage to your environment has never been
easier. Advanced intelligence features such as
Phone Home email alerts and real-time
performance metrics make it simple to manage
and maintain your storage.
