Note
Overview
FastFrame 40Gb Ethernet Adapters provides high-performance, low-latency 40 Gbps Ethernet connectivity.
ATTO’s 40Gb Ethernet Adapter solutions are singleand dual-channel PCIe 3.0 x8 solutions offering near line-rate throughput via the usage of Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA), specifically the RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) protocol. Simultaneously improving CPU utilization and throughput by allowing for direct memory transfers bypassing the CPU and TCP/IP stacks, RoCE is the key for any user of 40Gb Ethernet looking to take full advantage of 40Gb bandwidth. ATTO’s 40Gb Ethernet FastFrame cards come in both optical (with QSFP+s included) and Direct-Attached options, providing flexibility for numerous installations.
Driver support for 40Gb Ethernet includes multiple installations of both Windows and Linux.
FastFrame 40Gb NICs provide high-performance, low-latency 40 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. Built using silicon provided by the industry’s leader in low latency Ethernet, Mellanox, ATTO FastFrame NICs provide the most performance and the lowest utilization of CPU cycles, in addition to industryleading power efficiency. Supporting numerous protocols from standard TCP/IP to NFS RDMA to iSCSI, ATTO’s FastFrame 40Gb NICs are available in single- and dual-port configurations, with optical QSFP+ or direct attached copper support.
• Provides sufficient bandwidth for numerous streams of uncompressed 4k video, in addition to uncompressed 8k video
• Industry-leading latency allows for more usage of 40GbE pipe. NICs without RDMA support top out at about 21Gbps performance; with ATTO’s RDMA implementation, performance can reach near line-rate at 39Gbps.
• Lowest power utilization profile and CPU utilization profile on market combines to provide highest ROI (in terms of gigabytes transferred per dollar spent on power) among 40GbE NICs on the market.
