1. Foreword

The Personal Watcher (VST 800) is a wristwatch, which contains an integral transmitter. The transmitter is transmitting identification signals, which are used to either locate the client’s location within an area covered by a local positioning system, or monitor his/her location and movement status at home.
The Personal Watcher enables the user to send a distress alarm signal with a simple press of a button.
The Personal Watcher (VST 800) is transmitting on an American FCC tested and approved frequency, whereas the European version (VST 800-2) is transmitting on an European tested and approved frequency. From a user interface and function point of view the two models are identical; therefore this user manual serves both versions.

2. Installing the Personal Watcher

Turn on the Personal Watcher by pressing the red ON button on the electronic key.
Press the electronic key’s RED button down for one second - the red light turns steadily ON for two (2) seconds.
If the startup command has been successfully received, the red light on the Electronic Key will flash for two (2) seconds.
Note
that if the transmitter has failed to receive the startup command the red light will turn off after the initial two (2) seconds ON.
If the Electronic Key battery is low the red light will immediately flash for two (2) seconds, once the red button is pressed. (No command is sent to the transmitter).
Place the Personal Watcher on its side, on a non-metal surface, for 30 seconds.
Wrap the Personal Watcher’s strap around the wrist, as done with any wristwatch. Once the strap is closed, secure it by fastening the metal clip. If required, slip the strap holder to hold the lose edge of the strap.
Note:
An alarm signal is sent to the central monitoring computer whenever the strap is open, cut, or the Personal Watcher is removed from the wrist without opening or cutting the strap.
