1. Foreword
The HomeFree at Care Centers system was designed to monitor special needs and Dementia individuals in the care center environment. The Pendant (Panic button) is one of the many unique elements of this system.
The Pendant is a small, lightweight push button unit worn by the mo nitored individual that alerts caregivers whenever the monitored individual activates a panic alert. The Pendant is not for use outside the monitored area.

1.1. Activating the Pendant:
The Pendant is turned off by the manufacturer before shipment and mus t be activated before use. To activate, hold the Pendant firmly in your hand and press the panic button continuously for 2 seconds. The LED indicator flashes indicating that the Pendant is working.

Once the pendant is working, it sends a status message to the monitoring station. The monitoring station then indicates the current battery status. This status message is sent until the Pendant is deactivated.
1.2. Activating a Panic Alert:
Press the panic button. The LED indicator flashes indicating that the Pendant is in panic alert mode.
Once in panic alert mode, the Pendant sends a panic alert message to the monitoring station. This message is sent until the panic alert is deactivated.
1.3. Deactivating a Panic Alert:
Press the panic button 6 times in quick succession (within 5 seconds). The LED indicator lights up for 3 seconds indicating that the panic alert has been deactivated.
Even though the panic alert has been deactivated, the Pendant is still working. Therefore, the Pendant still sends a status message to the monitoring station. This status message is sent until the Pendant is deactivated.
1.4. Deactivating the Pendant:
Holding the Pendant firmly in your hand, press the panic button continuously for 10 seconds. The LED indicator lights up for 3 seconds. During this 3-second period, press the panic button 2 times in succession. The Pendant is now in deactivated mode (turned off).

1.5. Cleaning Instructions
A soft brush and any cleaning solution are all that is needed to clean the Pendant.
Alcohol based solutions; Soapy water or Lysol can be used to clean the Pendant.
Holding the strap or leash, spray the Pendant (Panic Button) with cleaning solution of choice (see above).
Using a piece of cloth or a paper towel, dry the outer side of the Pendant. Lay the Pendant on the towel with its inner side facing up. Using a soft brush or another piece of cloth/towel gently scrub the inner side of the Pendant.
Dry the Pendant (Panic Button) using a piece of cloth/paper towel or simply let it dry.

This device generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if installed and used in accordance with the instruction, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this device does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna
Increase the separation between the equipment and the
receiver.
