down t he nozzle w hile the un it is worki ng becaus e of the high t emperat ure being p roduced .

Do not a llow pain t to adhere t o the nozzl e or scrape r as it could i gnite aft er some tim e.

Do not u se this too l to remove p aint cont aining le ad. Th e peeli ng s, resi du e and vap or s of
pain t may conta in lead, wh ich is pois onous. Any p re-1960 b uilding m ay have bee n
pain ted in the pa st with pai nt contai ning lead a nd covere d with addi tional la yers of pai nt.

Expo sure even t o low level s of lead can c ause irre versibl e damage to t he brain an d
nerv ous syste m. Young and un born chil dren are pa rticula rly vulne rable.

Do not b urn the pai nt. Use the s craper an d keep the no zzle at lea f 25 mm away fr om the
pain ted surfa ce. When wo rking in a ve rtical di rection , work down wards to pr event pai nt
from f al ling in to the tool a nd burnin g.

Disp ose of all pa int debri s safely an d ensure th at the work a rea is thor oughly cl eaned
afte r co mplet ing the wor k.

The no zzle and ac cessory b ecome ver y hot durin g use. Let th em cool dow n before at temptin g
to mov e or store th e to ol.

To reduc e the cooli ng time, se t the on/off sw it ch to pos it ion Ⅰ and l et i t run for a f ew m inute s.

9.MAINTENANCE AN D CLEANIN G

8.1 Sw it ching o n an d off

To switc h th e tool on , set the on/ off sw itch to p os ition Ⅰ /Ⅱ . So me smok e ma y be emit te d
afte r sw itchi ng on; this d oes not ind icate a pro blem.

To switc h th e tool off, s et t he on/o ff swi tch to posi tion Ⅰ , and le t it run for a fe w minutes .

8.2 Tempe ra ture se tt ing

Turn ON/OFF switch to Ⅰ/Ⅱ, depending on temperature you need. The heat gun will start to buzz.

8.3 St ri pping p ai nt

Set a hi gh air temp erature .

Swit ch the tool o n.
Dire ct the hot ai r onto the pa int to be rem oved.

When t he paint so ftens, sc ra pe the pa int away us ing a hand sc raper.

Do not strip metal window frames, as the heat may be conducted onto the glass
and crack it. When stripping other window frames, use the glass protection nozzle.

Avo id collec ting pain t on the scra per acces sory, as it may ig ni te. If ne ce ssary,
care fully rem ove paint d eb ris fro m th e scrap er access ory using a k nife.
