User’s Guide
INTRODUCTION
Your telephone is designed to give you exibility of use, and high
quality performance. To get the most from your new telephone,
we suggest that you take a few minutes to read through this
instruction manual.
If you have any questions or problems, consult the Troubleshooting
Tips for the solution.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
MODULAR JACK REQUIREMENTS
You need a RJ11C type modular jack, which is
the most common type of phone jack and might
look like the one pictured here. If you don’t have
a modular jack, call your local phone company
to nd out how to get one installed.

INSTALLING THE PHONE
Your telephone should be placed on a level surface such as a desk top,
or you can mount it on a wall , A desktop /wall mounting pedestal is built
into the base of the phone.
Connect the telephone line cord to a modular telephone jack.

Slide the RINGER switch (on the handset ) to ON.

Set PULSE/ TONE switch (on the handset ) to TONE for touch-tone

service, or set it to PULSE for rotary service. If you don’t know which
type of service you have, check with the phone company.

Your telephone may also be mounted on a wall plate (not included).

REDIAL BUTTON
This unit redials up to 32 digits. To

TEMPORARY TONE FEATURE
If you have Pulse ( rotary ) service ,and
want to access customer calling services
that require touch –tone dialing ,such as
getting information from a local bank ,you
can use this feature.
Press the TONE button ( * ) after you

have connected to the service in order
to enable touch –tone dialing.
When you hang up, the phone

automatically returns to Pulse dialing

USING THE TELEPHONE FEATURES
RECEIVING A PHONE CALL
Be sure the RINGER switch is set to the On ( ) position.

When the phone rings. lift the handset and begin your conversation.

Slide the RINGER switch to the O ( ) position when you do not want

to be interrupted by the phone ringing.
RINGER VOLUME
You may control the ringer volume level with the switch located on the
right side of the handset.
= ringer tone will be loud.
= telephone will not ring.
PLACING A PHONE CALL
Lift the handset and wait for a dial tone.

Dial the telephone number you wish to call.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
To keep your phone working and looking good ,follow these guidelines;
Avoid putting near heating appliances and devices that generate
•
electrical noise (for example , motors and uorescent lamps)
DO NOT expose to direct sunlight or moisture.
•
Avoid dropping and other rough treatment.
•
Never use a strong cleaning agent or abrasive powder because this
•
will damage the nish.
Retain the original package in case you need to ship it at a later date.
•
Used equipment must be disposed of in compliance with
current environmental protection regulations. You should
return it to your reseller or dispose of it in an approved
recycling centre.

Para utilizar este teléfono, necesitará tener
instalado en su hogar un toma de teléfonos

INSTALAR EL TELÉFONO

UTILIZAR LAS FUNCIONES DEL TELÉFONO
RECIBIR UNA LLAMADA TELEFÓNICA
Asegúrese de que el interruptor de timbre (RINGER) está en la

Cuando suene el teléfono, tome el microteléfono y comience la

conversación.
Deslice el interruptor RINGER hasta la posición de apagado ( )

VOLUMEN DEL TIMBRE
Puede controlar el nivel de volumen del timbre con el interruptor que se
encuentra en el lado derecho del microteléfono.

REALIZAR UNA LLAMADA
Tome el microteléfono y espere el tono de marcado.

Marque el número de teléfono al que desea llamar.

CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO
Para mantener su teléfono en funcionamiento y en buen estado, preste
atención a las siguientes pautas:
Evite colocar el teléfono cerca de dispositivos de calor y equipos

que generen ruido eléctrico (por ejemplo, motores y lámparas
uorescentes).
NO exponga la unidad a luz solar directa ni a humedad.
•
Evite arrojar la unidad o cualquier otro tratamiento brusco.
•
NO utilice fuertes agentes de limpieza ni polvos abrasivos para limpiar
•
la unidad ya que esto podría dañar el acabado.
Guarde el embalaje original en caso de que necesite transportar la
•
unidad en el futuro.
El equipo usado deberá eliminarse de acuerdo con las
reglamentaciones de protección ambiental actuales.
Deberá regresar la unidad al revendedor o desecharlo
en un centro de reciclado aprobado.
