APPLICATIONS

Atlas Sound monitor panels are recommended for the operational
supervision of control centers in multi-channel commercial and profes­sional sound system applications. Models provide accurate aural and
visual monitoring of communication systems installed in auditoriums,
airports, sports/recreation areas, churches, meeting rooms, conven­tion halls, security and service centers.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

MVX Series. These monitor panels feature a VU meter and offer a

choice of a 3" or 4" diameter loudspeaker equipped for connection
to 70.7 or 25-volt lines. To enable monitoring of up to five program
channels, all units include a 6-position, double pole switch with a
positive "off" position and a volume control for adjusting the level of
the monitor loudspeaker. Each monitored circuit connects to two
rear-mounted screw terminals. The VU meters are of moving coil
design and include a type "A" meter scale with rear-mounted control
for setting unit to 0 dB. Meters are covered by a protective thermo­plastic case. Attractive front panel is 16-gauge CRS with a unique
stamped grille design. Front-mounted volume control and channel
selectors are furnished on a black plate with white nomenclature.
Assemblies are factory wired and finished in textured black enamel
(other colors available upon request).

MVX-193. Space-efficient sound monitor with 3" dia. loudspeaker,
standard line transformer, and VU meter for visual monitoring. Unit is
ideal for general purpose signal monitoring and requires 3

panel space (2 rack units).
MVX-195. For professional-quality audio and visual monitoring, this

unit incorporates 4" high-compliance loudspeaker Model FC104,
high-quality line transformer Model HT-82, and a VU meter. It requires

ARCHITECT AND ENGINEER SPECIFICATIONS

Monitor panel shall be Atlas Sound Model __________ (MVX-193, MVX-

195). The panel shall provide for audio monitoring of up to five channels.
It shall include a _____ (3" or 4") dia. loudspeaker matching (70.7 or 25)
volt line. For visual monitoring, an adjustable "A" type scale moving coil
VU meter shall be provided. The monitor panel shall be constructed of
16-gauge CRS with standard E.I.A. spacing for mounting.
