High Performance In A Very Compact Footprint
The FAP40T is the newest member of Atlas Sound Strategy Series® II family of ceiling speaker products. Designed to provide high performance in a very compact footprint, the FAP40T appeals to both system designers and architects.
A unique (patent pending) tap selector switch design allows for easy system tuning. A full selection of taps up to 16 watts, as well as an 8 ohm bypass setting, is included for maximum system versatility. This switch also functions as a diffuser cone, providing smooth, even dispersion of the high frequency content from the center of the 4" driver. In fact, the high frequency response of the FAP40T is so natural that many would assume that the driver in the FAP40T was a coaxial design instead of a cone driver.
Low frequency response is enhanced by the tuned and ported enclosure design. The UL listed (UL1480) enclosure is constructed of high impact injection molded plastic and includes a press fit grille design that blends quite well with contemporary architecture. A tile bridge is included for suspended ceiling applications. The light­weight design of the FAP40T, coupled with the “dog leg” mounting system allows the FAP40T to mount into most drywall ceilings without the need for a separate mounting ring. However, for new construction drywall ceiling applications, the optional FA-TR4 trim ring is available.

Atlas Sound’s FAP82T is perfectly suited for business music and public address applications ceilings heights ranging from 12' - 25'. Higher ceilings require the increased efficiency, tighter pattern control and extended low frequency response provided by the FAP82T.
Installations into drop tile acoustic ceilings are made easy with the C-Ring/V-Rail Mounting System. In “blind mount” instances the V shaped rail system simplifies the process of locating mounting hardware above the deck. For existing construction drywall applications simply cut the mounting hole and “corkscrew” the C-ring into the hole allowing the “dog leg” mounting system to engage the metal ring for additional support. For new construction drywall ceilings the optional FAP82-TR trim ring may be used.
With the FAP82T, Atlas Sound has addressed pendant mounting for open plenum ceiling applications. A 1/4" -20 eyebolt assembly is included with the package allowing suspension of the FAP82T with load rated cable or "all thread". The enclosure is finished white to match the bezel ring for better blend in open ceiling applications. Please note that the enclosure/bezel ring may also be painted to accommodate custom finishes when required.

• May be pendulum mounted via top mounted eyebolt (included). Enclosure is also finished in white for optimum aesthetics when hung in open ceiling applications
