General Information
The Atlas Sound EFT6-4 top-mounted fan panel provides quiet and
effective dissipation of heat, for equipment mounted in Atlas Sound
racks or cabinets with a 6 RU or greater open top (100, 200, 500, & 700
Series). For installation in racks with greater than 6 RU top opening,
SPR2 Series filler panels are suggested. Unit works best for recessed
applications; however, may be used in surface mount applications where
the additional 1" height is not an issue.
Four 115 CFM 4" (100mm) diameter fans provide 460 total CFM to
ensure maximum air flow. Fan motors utilize ball bearing supports for
best performance and long life. Outside users are protected from the
rotating blades by chrome plated wire grilles.
Unit comes pre-assembled with a 6' polarized 115VAC power cord. Fans
are factory-mounted for exhaust cooling and may be rotated easily for
intake cooling.
Mounting frame construction is 16-gauge CRS powder-coated in standard
black.
Architect & Engineer Specifications
The Top-Mounted Fan Panel shall be compatible with Atlas Sound 100,
200, 500, and 700 series cabinets with 6 RU of open mounting space.
The unit shall be designed for recessed application with four formed
returns (flush to the frame) with the remainder of the open space to be
enclosed (if applicable) with optional SPR panels from Atlas Sound. The
fan assembly shall be powered by 115VAC thru the inclusion of a 6', 3
prong AC cable that shall energize each of the four 115 CFM “whisper
type" ball bearing supported fan motors. The unit shall provide 460 CFM
of air for cooling rack mounted electronic equipment in an exhaust or
intake mode depending on frame orientation. Mounting frame shall be
constructed of 16-gauge CRS powder-coated black, each fan shall be
equipped with a chrome wire safety baffle and measure 19" (482mm)
wide x 10.5" (266.7mm) height x 1" (25.4mm) deep. The Top Mounted
Fan Panel shall be the Atlas Sound EFT6-4 or equal.
