Powering ON (Some Models)
The master power switch is located on the rear of
he shredder head. When the switch is turned on,
t the LCD displays all of the operating functions and gives a beep (See figure on left). Two sec­onds after the characters are shown, the display clears and enters the standby mode.
ON Mode
When pressing the ON/OFF button for more that three seconds, the LCD shows AUTO and enters AUTO mode. In the AUTO shredding mode, the shredder stands ready to shred paper, If there is any paper stuck at the throat in the shredder, the shredder will automatically shred the paper. The shredder will stop after the paper is completely shredded.
OFF Mode
When pressing the ON/OFF button for more that three seconds, the shredder will beep once and shut off all functions, entering into standby mode, the LCD will turn off. If you wish to restart, press and hold ON/OFF button for more than three seconds to start.
REVERSE Mode
When pressing the REVERSE button, LCD shows the character of REVERSE and the motor enters the REVERSE mode. Press and hold the REVERSE button in order to keep the motor running in reverse. When the REVERSE button is released, the motor will stop. If there is any paper left at the throat, the shredder will enter into the AUTO shredding mode and the display will show AUTO.

essing the REVERSE button will keep the motor running. The shredder will not stop until the button is released. After the motor stops, if there is still paper remaining in the throat, the shredder will resume AUTO

FORWARD Mode
When pressing the FORWARD button, the LCD dis-
lays AUTO and the motor enters the FORWARD
p mode. Press and hold the FORWARD button in order to keep the motor running forward. When the FORWARD button is released, the motor will stop.
OVERLOAD Mode
When the shredder overloads during shredding, the motor will stop running and the LCD will flash the OVERLOAD icon. Press the REVERSE but­ton the motor will start reversing and the LCD will show REVERSE. When the overloaded paper is removed from the throat, the LCD will show OVERLOAD, the motor will start running for three seconds and the shredder will start automatically clearing any papers. After the motor stops, the LCD will show AUTO.
If user cannot remove the paper from the throat by pressing the REVERSE button, tear off the remaining paper and press ON/OFF to shut off the shredder. Press ON/OFF again to start shred­ding and clean out the paper. If unable to clean out the paper in one action, repeat the above process until the paper is completely removed and the LCD displays AUTO.
DOOR OPEN Mode
When the paper bin is pulled out or the bin door is opened while shredding, the motor will stop immediately and sound the alar
m. The LCD will flash DOOR OPEN. To resume normal function, the bin or door must be placed back to original position. The LCD will show AUTO.

OVERHEAT Mode
If the shredder overheats, the LCD will flash OVER-
EAT. Both AUTO and REVERSE functions will stop.
H When the shredder overheats, user may press ON/OFF to place the shredder in stand by mode. The shredder will not resume normal functioning until the temperature of the motor cools down to a safe temperature and LCD shows AUTO.
MAINTAINENCE
After 500 shredding cycles, the LCD will flash MAINTAIN. This indicates that the shredding blades need to be lubricated using an approved shredder lubricant. Only shredder lubricant sheets or bottled lubricant designed specifically for shredders should be used. Follow the instruc­tions provided with the shredder lubricant. NEVER USE AN AREOSOL LUBRICANT, or any lubri­cant that is flammable. Refer to the warnings pro­vided in your shredder manual.
MANUAL MAINTAINENCE
The shredder will continue to operate in a normal manner while the MAINTAIN light is flashing. After applying lubricant to the cutting blades, the MAINTAIN light can be deactivated by pressing and holding the MAINTAIN button for 7 seconds. The shredder will return to AUTO mode, the LCD will clear the word MAINTAIN, and the internal counter on the shredder will be reset to zero.
AUTOMATIC MAINTAINENCE
(Optional feature, not present on all shredders) If there are shredder lubricant sheets in the sheet basket, the shredder will automatically lubricate the blades. The LCD will display the picture of a lubricant sheet. After the motor stops, the inter­nal counter will be rest to zero

(Optional feature, not pr
esent on all shredders) The motor will stop and sound alert when the bin is full. The LCD will flash BIN FULL. All shredder functions will stop. If the paper bin or the door is open, the LCD will flash DOOR OPEN. After the bin is emptied and placed back to nor tion, the LCD will show AUTO and r
