Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one of more of the following measures:

PARTS IDENTIFICATION
CHARGING THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
BEFORE FIRST USE, WE RECOMMEND CHARGING THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY WITH THE USB ADAPTER. Turn off all radio, light and siren features before charging. If the unit has not been used for more than 30 days it
is recommended that you recharge using an USB charger to recondition the rechargeable battery.
Dynamo Charging:
1.
Open the HAND CRANK and rotate steadily clockwise at approximately 120 cycles/minute for a minimum of one minute. Longer wind-up times will yield a longer power duration. The blue backlight will appear on the LCD DISPLAY during charging.

USB Charging:
1. Slide the CHARGING SELECTOR switch on the back of the unit to the left under TimeMinder icon.
2. Plug the INPUT/OUTPUT ADAPTER (the longer cord) into the OUTPUT/INPUT jack on the top of the unit and plug the USB connector into a USB port of your computer or into a universal 5 volt DC USB charging device. The blue backlight will appear on the LCD display during charging. NOTE: Only use a 5V USB power supply. Higher voltage chargers may cause damage to the unit.
3. Allow 6-8 hours to achieve a full charge. To avoid damage to the battery, do not charge for more than 8 hours.
CHANGING THE REPLACEABLE BATTERIES
The replaceable batteries operate the clock, alarm and LCD features only.
1. Remove the CLOCK BATTERY ACCESS DOOR by removing 1 screw with a small Phillips head screwdriver.
2. Remove old batteries and replace as indicated on the battery door.
OPERATION
Setting the Time and Alarm:
1. To set the time, press and hold the TIME SET button while pressing the HOUR and MINUTE buttons until the correct time is displayed.
2. To set the alarm time, press and hold the ALARM SET button while pressing the HOUR and MINUTE buttons until your desired AM or PM alarm time is displayed.
3. To activate the alarm, press the ALARM ON/OFF button. An alarm clock icon will appear in the LCD display to indicate that the alarm is activated. When the alarm goes off, the backlight will appear to display the alarm time in the LCD screen. Press the ALARM ON/OFF button one time to turn off the alarm. The alarm clock icon will continue to appear in the LCD display and is still set to go off at the same time the next day.
4. To deactivate the alarm, press the ALARM ON/OFF button a second time. The alarm clock icon will disappear from the LCD display.
5. Before activating the alarm we suggest winding the unit for 1-3 minutes to ensure the backlight operates during the night.
AM/FM Radio:
1. Turn on the radio by turning the VOLUME dial past the OFF position to the desired volume. The radio station will appear in the LCD screen.
2. Select either the AM or FM band using the function switch on the top and tune to the desired station by turning the TUNING dial.
Backlight: The backlight appears during charging, when the alarm goes off, or when the time/alarm or radio functions are set. NOTE: To activate the backlight at any time, press the time set button.
3 LED Flashlight: Slide the LIGHT ON/OFF switch to the right or left for desired function.
Siren: Slide the function switch on the top to SIREN for a high-decibel emergency siren.
CELL PHONE CHARGING
1. Slide the CHARGING SELECTOR switch on the back of the unit to the right under the cell phone icon.
2. Plug the OUTPUT/INPUT ADAPTER, (the longer cord) into the OUTPUT/INPUT jack on the top of the unit and plug the shorter CELL PHONE ADAPTER into your cell phone. A universal Nokia® adapter is provided. Adapter tips for other model phones plug directly into the Nokia adapter. Additional tips are available at electronic and mobile phone stores (not included).
3. Wind the hand crank for a minimum of 3 minutes to charge your cell phone battery. This method is intended to provide enough power to make an emergency call only. It is not capable of fully charging your cell phone.
