OTICE REGARDING CARRYING LASER

POINTERS ON COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT

United States

As of the publication date of t his user’s m anual , t he Transpor t ation
Security Administration (TSA) web site does not list laser pointers
among “Items Prohibited in Aircraft Cabins” (see www.tsa.gov), but
it does state that “other items that may be deemed to present a
potential threat may also be prohibited”. You may want to consider
pack ing you r Tote-Re mote in your check-in luggage r ather t han in
your carry-on bag.

Other Countries

We have no specific information as of the publication date of this
user’s manual about the laws and policies of any other countries
regarding carrying laser pointers in commercial aircraft. If you have
any questions on this topic, you should consult with the responsible
governme nt entity.

Please read this user’s manual thoroughly. It contains important
information about your Tote-Remote. Failure to follow instructions
for prope r i nstallation a nd use of this p roduc t m ay caus e dama ge to
the product, your computer, and/or connected devices, may be
detrimental to the health and sa fe ty of you a nd ot hers, and ma y al so
void the warranty.

If you have diffi culty installing or us ing your Tot e-Rem ote, pleas e be

COMPATIBILITY & SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Your Tote-Remote includes a USB radio frequency (RF) receiver
that must be plu gged int o the U S B port on a l aptop or desktop
computer or into a USB hub or USB extension cable. The computer
must be running Windows XP®, Windows 2000®, Windows Me®,
Windows 98®SE (Second Edition), or Macintosh® 9.x, OS X 10.1,
or OS X 10.2.

Installation

INSTALLATION

Your Tote-Remote package includes the following items:

Your Tote-Remote is simple to install. Just pop the battery
compartment cover off us in g your fingernail or a small coin, ins ert the
battery (with the text on the battery facin g up), and snap the bat tery
compa rtment cover back on.

Installation

Plug the USB RF receiver into a USB port on your computer (or into a
USB hub or USB extension cable). No special application software is
req uired b ecaus e t h e Tote -R emote uses operating sys tem driver s.

If you are using Windows XP or 2000, please allow the computer time
to recognize the USB receiver and to call up the drivers it needs from
the op erating s ystem. U sually ther e i s some type of on- scre en indication
of this activity such as a small pop up window. WAIT PATIENTLY
AND DO NOT INTERRUPT THIS PROCESS, as the installa tion may
