The DryCal®DC-1 and DC-2 primary flow meters are the original low cost primary air-flow calibration standards from BIOS International, the world leader in dry piston technology. The DryCal®brings the advantages of high speed volumetric calibrations and unsurpassed accuracy to your organization in a small easy to use instrument. Its simple push-button operation has made DryCal®the preferred primary flow meter of industrial hygienists, environmental scientists and calibration laboratories worldwide.
The DC-1 offers a two line LCD display providing continuous readouts of flow rate, flow average, and the number of readings included in the average. In addition, the DC-1 is equipped with a built­in parallel port that interfaces with most standard IBM compatible printers to obtain hard copy documentation of flow rate data.
The DC-2 offers all the features of the DC-1, but adds several other important features, including atmospheric pressure and user definable temperature corrections based on built-in precision sensors. These corrections result in readings equivalent to those at standard condition. This feature is especially useful with mass flow devices. The standardized readings are displayed simultaneously with the volumetric readings on a larger four line LCD display. The DC-2 also allows users to define the number of readings in the flow average from 1 to 100 measurements and includes an RS-232 interface for direct download to a PC for easy audit tracking.
Both the DC-1 and DC-2 share three interchangeable flow measuring cells, providing by far the broadest dynamic range in the industry from 1 ml to 50,000 ml per minute. All DryCal®flow cells use the same near-frictionless piston and photo­optic sensing technology to obtain volumetric flow readings quickly and accurately.

Standardized (corrected) Accuracy (DC-2 only):
This represents the accuracy of the DryCal
®
DC-2 in the DC-2's optimum (±1% volumetric) flow range when reading standardized flow (SLPM). These values were calculated from the above temperature and pressure inaccuracies and the best-case error of the DC-2 using the root-sum-square method.
