UTILISATION DE SETEDIT
Votre terminal numérique embarque un logiciel de communication vous
permettant d’échanger des données avec un autre terminal ASTON ou avec un
PC. Pour pouvoir utiliser ce logiciel, il est nécessaire d’utiliser un connecteur
spécial et différent selon le type de terminal utilisé. Vous pouvez vous procurer
ce connecteur chez votre revendeur habituel ASTON (1).
Si vous souhaitez relier votre terminal à un PC, il sera nécessaire en plus de
vous procurez le logiciel SetEdit en téléchargement sur le site
www.aston-france.com (2)
Branchez le câble série (ou la prise RJ45) à l’arrière de l’appareil
ECHANGE DE DONNEES ENTRE DEUX TERMINAUX
Cette opération vous permet de transmettre d’un terminal « émetteur » (celui
qui transmet les données) vers un terminal « récepteur » (celui qui reçoit les
données) les informations suivantes :
- La configuration de l’installation
- La liste des chaînes, des radios et des datas
- Les listes favorites et leurs noms
Utilisez un câble adapté pour relier les deux terminaux. Placez-vous dans le
MENU PRINCIPAL sur les deux terminaux :
- Appuyez 4 fois consécutivement sur la touche 0 du terminal
« émetteur » : le message SENDER s’affiche sur la face avant du terminal,
vous avez 30 secondes pour placer le terminal « récepteur » en mode
« réception »
- Appuyez 4 fois consécutivement sur la touche 8 du terminal
« récepteur » : le message RECEIVER s’affiche sur la face avant du
terminal. Si la liaison n’est pas établie ou si l’opération n’a pas été
effectuée dans le délai imparti, le message NO RECEIVER apparaît sur la
face avant du terminal « émetteur »
A la fin du téléchargement, si tout s’est passé correctement, le terminal
« émetteur » affichera TRANSMIT OK tandis que le terminal récepteur affichera
RECEIVE OK. Pour le cas où ce dernier afficherait TRASMIT KO, retenter le
téléchargement.
ECHANGES DE DONNEES AVEC UN PC
Comme il a été indiqué précédemment, cet échange nécessite un logiciel
disponible sur le site www.setedit.com . Branchez votre terminal (connecteur
DB9 du bas ou prise RJ45) sur l’un des ports séries de votre PC à l’aide d’un
connecteur adapté. Lisez attentivement le fichier d’aide également disponible en
téléchargement sur le site concernant l’utilisation du logiciel SetEdit. Vous

- Télécharger une configuration complète (installation, liste de
chaînes, de radios et de datas) : suivez les indications du logiciel
- Récupérer ces différentes listes sur PC : placez vous dans le menu
principal du terminal et appuyez 4 fois consécutivement sur la
touche 0
- Réorganiser ces listes ainsi récupérées

USING SETEDIT
Your digital TV decoder has an embedded program allowing you to transfer data
with another Aston decoder or a PC. To use this program, a special cable is
required according to the type of decoder used. You can obtain this cable from
your nearest ASTON (1) distributor.
If you wish to connect your decoder to a PC, you will require the software
program called SetEdit which can be downloaded via the ASTON website
www.aston-france.com (2)
Connect the serial cable (or RJ45 connector) found on the back panel to the
decoder.
Transferring data between 2 terminals
This allows you to transmit data from one “transmitter” terminal ( the one which
transmits the data ) to a “receiver” terminal ( the one that receives the data) in
the following way :
The installation configuration.
The channel, radio and data lists.
The favourites list and their names.
Use the respective cable to connect the 2 decoders the go to the MAIN MENU of
the 2 decoders:
Send the code 0000 to the “transmitter” terminal, the display will then
show the message sender on the front panel. You have then 30 seconds
to put the other decoder in to “receiver” mode.

Sent the code 8888 to the “receiver” terminal, the display will then show

the message RECEIVER on the front panel. If the connection is not
established or not done within the given delay, the message no
RECEIVER will be displayed on the front panel of the “transmitter”
terminal.
At the end of the transfer, if everything has gone OK, the “transmitter” terminal
will display TRANSMIT OK whereas the “receiver” terminal will display RECEIVE
OK.
If the transfer fails, the latter will display TRANSMIT KO and then try again.
Data transfer with a PC
As mentioned earlier, this type of transfer requires a software program available
on the ASTON website www.aston-france.com. Connect your decoder to one of
the serial ports of your PC using the required adaptor cable. Read carefully the
help file available on the web site concerning the use of the program Setedit. You
can for example :
Transfer to the PC, a complete configuration ( installation, channel, radio
and data lists ) : follow the instructions of the program.
Download previous stored lists from the PC, just go to the MAIN MENU
of your decoder and enter the code 0000.
Re-organise the lists downloaded.

Benutzen sie nur das geeignete Kabel ! Dann kommen sie, mit den 2 Receivern,

wiederholen.
Dateienwechsel mit einem PC
Wie vorher gesagt brauchen Sie das programm Setedit. Verbinden sie ihren PC
mit ihren Receiver wie empfohlen. Studieren Sie sorgfältig die

EL USAR SETEDIT
Su decodificador digital de TV lleva incorporado un programa que le permite
transferir datos con otro decodificador Aston o un PC. Para utilizar este
programa es necesario un cable especial dependiendo del tipo de decodificador
que se usa. Puede obtener este cable en su distribuidor ASTON (1) más
cercano.
“SENDER“ wird angezeigt, ab diesem Moment haben Sie 30 Sekunden
um den Receiver “Empfänger“ in Position Empfang zu bringen

Si prefiere conectar el decodificador a un PC, le hará falta un programa llamado
SetEdit que puede ser descargado desde la web de ASTON www.aston-
france.com (2).
Cuando se usa un decodificador, conectar el cable serie (o RJ45) situado en
la parte baja del panel trasero del decodificador.
Transfiriendo datos entre 2 terminales
Esto permite transferir datos desde un terminal “transmisor” (el que trasnmite
los datos) y un terminal “receptor” (que recibe los datos) :
Configuración de la instalación
Las listas de canales, radio y datos
La lista de favoritos y sus nombres
Conectar el cable correspondiente a los 2 decodificadores e ir al MENÚ
PRINCIPAL de los 2 decodificadores:
Enviar el código 0000 al terminal “transmisor”, el display muestra el
mensaje SENDER en el panel frontal. A partir de ahora se dispone
de 30 segundo para poner el otro decodificador en modo “receptor”.
Enviar el código 8888 al terminal “receptor”, el display muestra el
mensaje RECIEVER en el panel frontal. Si no se establece la
conexión o se hace con retraso el mensaje NO RECIEVER se
mostrará en el display del panel frontal del terminal “transmisor”
Al final de la transferencia, si todo ha sido OK, el terminal “transmisor”
mostrará en el display TRANSMIT OK mientras que el terminal “receptor”
mostrará RECIEVE OK.
Si la transferencia falla, este último mostrará TRANSMIT KO y se deberá
repetir la operación empezar.
Transmisión de datos con PC
Como se mencionó anteriormente, este tipo de transferencia requiere un
programa que está disponible en la web de ASTON www.aston-france.com.
Conectar el decodificador a uno de los puertos serie del PC usando un
adaptador si es necesario. Leer atentemente el archivo de ayuda que está
disponible en la web que trata acerca del uso del programa SetEdit. Se
puede por ejemplo:
Transferir al PC, la configuración completa (instalación, listas de
canales, radio y datos) : seguir las instrucciones del programa.
Descargar las listas guardadas anteriormente des del PC, basta con
ir al MENÚ PRINCIPAL del decodificador y presionar el código 0000

Il ricevitore digitale ha al suo interno un programma che permette il
trasferimento dei dati ad un altro ricevitore Aston oppure ad un PC. Per
utilizzare questo programma è necessario un cavo speciale, diverso a
seconda del tipo di ricevitore usato. Questo cavo può essere acquistato dal
distributore ASTON (1) più vicino a voi.
Se si desidera collegare il ricevitore ad un PC è richiesto il programma
software chiamato SetEdit che può essere scaricato dal sito ASTON
www.aston-france.com
Per la programmazione del ricevitore, collegare il cavo seriale (o RJ45) che
si trova nel pannello posteriore del ricevitore stesso.
Trasferimento dei dati tra due terminali
Permette la trasmissione dei dati da un terminale “trasmittente” (trasmissione
dati) a un terminale “ricevente” (ricezione dati) nel seguente modo:
Configurazione dell’installazione.
Liste dei dati, dei canali e delle radio.
Lista dei canali preferiti e i loro nomi.
Usare il rispettivo cavo per collegare i 2 ricevitori, dopodiché entrare nel
MENU PRINCIPALE (MAIN MENU) dei 2 ricevitori:
Inserire il codice 0000 al terminale “trasmittente”, il display
visualizzerà quindi il messaggio di invio sul pannello frontale. Si
avranno 30 secondi per collegare l’altro ricevitore nel modo
Al termine del trasferimento, se tutte le operazioni hanno dato esito positivo,
“ricevente”.
Inviare il codice 8888 nel terminale “ricevente”, il display visualizzerà

Se il trasferimento ha esito negativo, quest’ultimo visualizzerà TRANSMIT
KO (TRASMISSIONE KO); quindi provare di nuovo.
Trasferimento dei dati con un PC
Come indicato precedentemente, questo tipo di trasferimento richiede un
programma software disponibile sul sito ASTON www.aston-france.com.
Collegare il ricevitore ad una delle porte seriali del PC usando il cavo
adattatore richiesto. Leggere attentamente il file help disponibile sul sito web,
per l’uso del programma Setedit. Per esempio, si può:
Trasferire al PC una configurazione completa (installazione, canali,
radio e liste dei dati): seguire le istruzioni del programma.
Scaricare dal PC le precedenti liste memorizzate, solamente
entrando nel MENU PRINCIPALE (MAIN MENU) del ricevitore ed
inserendo il codice 0000.
Riorganizzare le liste scaricate.
