DIRECTIONS OF USE
Contents:
In addition to this instructions booklet, this package contains a Wireless Thymio robot, a USB dongle for wireless communication, a
USB to micro USB cable for the recharge.
Use of buttons:
Press 3 sec. on the center button (A) to turn the robot on and off. The other buttons (B) allow changing the robot’s color. Each color
corresponds to a different behavior (menu). Button (A) is used to start a behavior and to come back to the menu.
Behaviors:
Friendly (green) follows object / hand
Explorer (yellow) avoids obstacles
Fearful (red) runs away from object or hand, shock detection
Investigator (cyan) follows a trail
Obedient (purple) follows the commands from the buttons (B)
Careful (blue) reacts to handclap
Installation:
Before connecting Thymio II to the computer, install Aseba Studio from:
www.thymio.org
The site contains explanations to program the robot.
Use the USB dongle (D) that you received with the robot to connect it wirelessly to the computer. Connect the dongle to a USB port on
your computer and turn your Thymio on. Then start Aseba Studio.
Recharge:
Connect Thymio to a computer with the provided USB cable or use compatible wall charger. Recharge must always be supervised by
an adult.
General Safety Warning:
Operating temperature: 5 to 35° C (41 to 95° F).
The robot should not be disassembled. Exposed batteries, wiring or circuits are hazardous for children.
Not waterproof, do not put under water or expose to liquids.
If your robot is damaged, gather the parts and store them in a safe place.

Do not put your robot in a microwave oven or pressurized container, as it may cause fire or explosion.

Battery Warning:
This toy includes a rechargeable LiPo battery, which can be extremely hazardous if removed or improperly used or charged.
Do not expose to heat, fire or solvents.
Ingestion can be lethal, in case of ingestion consult a physician immediately.
If you suspect battery damage (leakage, suspicious smell), disconnect the robot immediately and store it safely. Avoid contact with
leakage.
Always recharge under the supervision of an adult, through the provided USB cable and a computer or a certified wall charger, at a
temperature between 5 and 35° C (41 to 95° F).
You are solely liable for ensuring that the lithium battery is used correctly (charging, discharging, storage, etc.). The manufacturer and
distributor shall have no liability for injury or damage to persons or property associated with lithium battery usage.
