WARNING:
(EXPLOSION HAZARD)
This unit contcilns parts which can arc or spark during normal operation. Do not use in areas contaminated by volatile or flamlble materials as these sparks may ignite the contaminates' and cause a dangerous explosion.
WARNING:
(HARMFUL FUMES)
TTie fitters used in this unit will remove solid par ticulate ONLY, and do not eliminate fumes and gases that may be a health hazard. Failure to observe the presence of such fumes could cause serious illness or death.
CAUTION:
(AIR FLOW BLOCKAGE)
Since exhaust air leaves the top of ^is unit, caution should be observed not to position unit in such a way as to block the exhaust.
MISCELLANEOUS CAUTIONS:
1. Use of any attachment not recommended or sold by the air deaner manufactirrer may result in nsk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
2. To reduce the risk of damage to elec tric plug or cord, disconnect by pulling plug rather than cord when removing power form the air deaner.
3. Make sure cord and hose are located so it wll not be stepped on, tripped over, or otherrwlse subjected to damage or stress.
CAUTION:
(SHOCK HAZARD)
To Insure continued protection against shocks hazard, connect A.C. cord only to properiy grounded outlets. Replace defective cords im
mediately. Don4 е:ох>зе to moisture or liquid as this could defeat tne electrical Insulation thus causing olectricaji shocic^sr^^l^ .s .

THEORY OF OPERATION
This unK Is a portable aircieanof employing one tfwmialty pro tected, high portofmance motor producing very high velocity air flow through the unit. Rno soBd partlcutate material and smoke may be removed from the air by the fitter media.
An Initial spark trap collects large partides before they reach
tfw prefilter. This trap further Isolates the fitters from sparks in the case of a welding operation.
Upon leaving the trap, the air Is passed through pre-fitters. These pre-fitters are desigr^ to catch the larger partides leaving the trap. These reiatfvety Inej^nslve pre-filters pre vents the more eimensive main filter from becoming quickly clogged. The pro-niters may be changed several times before the main fitter needs to be changed.
ALL FACnrORY FURNISHED FILTERS HAVE A UU- CLASS a RATING AND USING ANY FILTERS OTHER THAN THOSE
SUPPLIED FOR THIS UNIT IS NOT RECOMMENDED. Use of any product other than that recommerKled by ttte
manufacturer wW void the warranty.
The main <or firial) fitter may be selected from several grades avattaWe, depending upon the level of performance desired, M of these ore high effidor>cy mutti-fkiw fitters which feature extecKled surface area for long Bfe in high velod^ fUtratlon systems. See the Replacement Parts 4 FWors section toward the end of this maruiaJ for part numbers eiid fflter effiderKies.
OPERATION
Your ACE Industrial Products machine Undesigned as a source capftire device, l.o,. It Is Intended to eliminale smoke atxl parficdate at their point of origia Keeping thU In mind, the machine should be operated In the fotfawlng manner.
Re-read the soctkMi on Safety Wamirigs & Cautions before proceeding any further, >
1. Place the machine on a flat, level surface. Pick a location
that vrill allow unrestricted flow of the exhaust air to the atmosphere.
2. For units with wheels or casters, lock the wheels or block
the wheels.
3. Place the collection nozzle as dose to the work as practi
cal wfthout Interfering with the operator. Secure the nozzle H necessary.
4. Using the OrVOff switch, turn the machine On. Should the
motor not start or should the machine make unusual noises, immodlatety turn the macftine off ar>d seek tralr>od
malnterraf>ce personnel. Do not continue to use the de vice,
5. Upon completion of the spocfflc manufacturing or wefcflng
operatiott turn the machine off. Continuous running of the machine will continue to remove particulales from the
general environmertt and wtn cause premature dogging of the fitters.
'• ■s'- ^ '
Selection of the fitter best suited for,the Job should be rflscussed with a dealer or a factory representattve. ’ ^
A differential pressure gage Is an Integral part of the. unft. When the filters become dogged, the gage wBI Indicate an Increase in differential pressure. At tttis point, the fitters should be chor>ged. DoperKíingupontheappllcatkxi,th0prefllter can be changed several times before the main fitter must be changed. Changing the prefltters regularly can exterKl (he usefiji life ot the fUiial mer up to 50%. Д . ,
UNPACKING
Carefully Irispoct the unit for corKested damage that may have occurred during shipping and handling. If ary damage Is fourxJ.Immedlatety contact me freight compary. Make sure that there are no dents In the housing, as they ww prevent the fitters from slldlr>g Into the units smoothly.
6, When the‘fitter dogged* light or the differonllal pressure
gage (depertcling upon modeO bKflcate that the №er(s} are dogged, turn the madtine off and remove the power cord
from Its power source. ■ See the section on IfistaHation and use the reverse proc
ess to remove the dirty fitters. Re-Install new fitters and reconriect thè machitw to tts power source.
