INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR 6125 POLARIZED SOCKET
1. Choose a relatively flat area on the vehicle. With a hole saw drill a 3” diameter hole. See fig. #2.
2. Place the 6125 socket in the hole as shown in fig. #1. Using a #29 or 9/64 drill bit, drill 4 holes, using
the square mounting plate as a template. Mount the socket, using the four #10 sheet metal screws
provided.
3. Using the positive cable (marked with red tape) provided, connect one end to the threaded stud marked
“+” on the socket and then the other end to the Positive battery post. Tighten the nut until the split lo ck

to break.
4. Connect the other cable to the threaded stud marked “-“ and ground to the engine block if possible. If
the cable is not long enough, ground to the vehicle frame and be sure there is a good ground between the
engine block and frame. This ground should be 3 Ga. cable or larger. See fig. #3.
5. If the 6125 socket is to be mounted in the rear of the vehicle, an ASSOCIATED MODEL 6114
