Series 538 spool valves exist in versions intended for use in potentially explosive

Die Wegenventile Baureihe 538 stehen in verschiedenen Versionen für den Einsatz

in explosionsfähigen Atmosphären, die durch Gase, Dämpfe, Nebel oder
Staub verursacht werden (ATEX-Richtlinie), zur Verfügung.

Utiliser les vis autotaraudeuses fournies avec le 538.
L'opération de serrage nécessite un couple plus

important et doit s'effectuer en maintenant une légère
poussée.

- L’assemblage du (des) électrovannes(s) pilotes(s)
ATEX sur le distributeur ATEX ne crée pas de dangers
supplémentaires d’infl ammation et ne modifi e en rien
la classifi cation Atex du distributeur.

• Mounting of Series pilots on valves :

- Position as indicated above

- Installation of pilots on Series 538 valve (ISO02) :

Use the self-tapping screws supplied with the Series

538 valve. When joining up the two items a large torque
is required with a light force applied.

- The assembly of an ATEX-approved pilot valve on an
ATEX-approved directional valve does not present any
additional hazard of ignition and does not modify in any
way the ATEX classifi cation of the directional valve.

• Montage der Pilotventile uf die Wegeschieber:

Montage der Pilotventile auf Wegeschieber 538 (ISO02):

Mit selbstschneidender Schraube (im Lieferumfang des

Wegeschiebers 538 enthalten).
Schraube mit erhöhtem Moment und leichtem Druck festziehen.

- Die Montage eines Pilotventils mit ATEX-Zulassung
auf einem Wegeventil mit ATEX-Zulassung stellt keine
zusätzliche Explosionsgefahr dar und bedeutet keinerlei
Änderung der ATEX-Klassifi zierung.

Le distributeur à pilotes à applique est équipé de joints qui permettent de tranformer
l'appareil en pilotages :
alimentation interne (repère INT)
alimentation externe (repère EXT)
L'alimentation externe permet :

- d'utiliser ce matériel pour des fl uides distribués de 0 à 8 bar

- l'alimentation du pilotage et de la puissance par 2 circuits séparés (parfois re-

commandé par les spécifi cations de sécurité)

Pression d'alimentation des pilotes = 1,5 à 8 bar

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL SUPPLY

(ONLY in pad-mounted pilot version)

The pad-mounting control valve is equipped with seals making it possible to
adapt it for:
internal supply (marked INT)
external supply (marked EXT)
An external supply makes it possible:

- to use the valve with control fl uids at pressures between 0 and 8 bar,

- supplying the pilot and power systems by two separate circuits
(sometimes recommended in safety specifi cations)
Pilot supply pressure: 1.5 to 8 bar

• The equipment is supplied confi gured for internal supply (seals in INT position and position marked with black stud)

• Die Geräte werden ab Werk mit interner Vorsteuerung geliefert (Dichtungen in der Position INT. Schwarze Kennzeichnung)

INTERNE - EXTERNE VORSTEUERUNG

(Nur bei der Ausführung mit auffl anschbarem Pilotventil)
Der Wegeschieber für auffl anschbares Pilotventil ist mit Dichtungen ausgestattet
zur Änderung der Vorsteuerung in :
eine interne Vorsteuerung (Zeichen INT) oder
eine externe Vorsteuerung (Zeichen EXT).
Die externe Vorsteuerung ermöglicht

- den Einsatz der Ventile bei einem Mediumdruck von 0 bis 8 bar,

- eine separate Druckluft- und Stromversorgung über 2 getrennte Kreisläufe (er-

forderlich bei bestimmten Sicherheitsbestimmungen).

Vorsteuerdruck / Pilotventile = 1,5 bis 8 bar

Transformation en alimentation externe

- Démonter l'embout

- Retourner le joint sélecteur sur position EXT

- Remonter avec précaution l'embout en s'assurant que le joint sélecteur est cor­rectement placé dans son logement

- Effectuer les mêmes actions sur l'autre embout

- Raccorder les signaux de pilotages externes 12 et 14

Conversion to external supply

- Remove the end fi tting

- Reinstall the selector seal in the EXT position

- Carefully reinstall the end fi tting making sure that the selector seal is correctly
seated in its housing

- Proceed in the same manner with the other end fi tting

- Connect external pilot lines 12 and 14

Änderung in externe Vorsteuerung

- Endplatte abbauen.

- Selektionsdichtung in die Position EXT einlegen.

- Endplatte wieder montieren, dabei darauf achten, daß die Selektionsdichtung
richtig in der Aussparung liegt.

- Dieselben Schritte an der anderen Endplatte ausführen.

- Externe Rückstellung 12 und Ansteuerung 14 anschließen.
