Compressor Removal/Installation:
THE COMPRESSOR IS LOCATED ON THE VEHICLES PASSENGERS SIDE BEHI ND THE FRONT BUMPER AND CAN BE ACCESSED BY REMOVING THE FRONT BUMPER COVER.
1.0 Turn suspension switch off.
2.0 Remove front bumper cover as follows:
2.1 Remove front sid e marker /corne ring lamp.
2.2 Remove the radiator upper sight shield (Figure A).

NOTE: Refer to Figure B for steps 1.3-1.11.
2.3 Remove the radiator grille opening panel moulding across the top of the headlamps and front bumper cover.
2.4 Remove six screws (three each side) attaching front bumper cover to right and left front fender splash shields at the front fender wheel opening.

2.5 Remove four screws (two each side) attaching bottom of front bumper cover to right and left front fender splash shields.
2.6 Remove four nuts (two each side) through front side marker/cornering lamp openings attaching front bumper cover to front fenders.
2.7 Remove two bolts attaching radiator grille opening panel brackets to radiator grille opening reinforcement.
2.8 Remove one screw attaching bottom center of front bumper cover to “Z” brace.
2.9 Remove four pushpins attaching bottom of front bumper cover to radiator grille opening panel reinforcement.
2.10 Carefully pull front bumper cover and radiator grille away from vehicle.
2.11 Remove one rivet and “Z” brace from bottom of radiator grille opening panel reinforcement.

3.0 Remove vapor canister retaining bolt (Figure C).
4.0 Partially lower fuel vapor canister and disconnect fuel vapor hose and fuel vapor canister purge regulator valve from fuel vapor canister (Figure C).

NOTE: Refer to Figures D, E and F for steps 4.0-12.0.
5.0 Disconnect electrical connector for compressor motor (located on front face of compressor bracket).
6.0 Disconnect solid-state relay connector (located on outboard face of compressor bracket).
NOTE: To release air tube(s) you must press down on two
sides the quick release fitting and pull out air tube(s).
7.0 Disconnect four airlines from compressor air dryer.

8.0 Disconnect wiring harness and front left airline clip from rear face of compressor.
9.0 Remove two lower screws retaining bracket to body.
10.0 Remove upper screw retaining top of compressor bracket to body.
11.0 Remove air compressor.
12.0 Detach air intake hose from top of compressor head.
13.0 Remove screws attaching noise attenuator from front face of compressor bracket and remove attenuator.

TO DISCONNECT THE AIR LINE- USE TWO (2) FING ERS TO
PULLING DOWN ON THE AIR TUBE.

PUSH UP ON THE AIR LINE FITTING (BROWN RING) WHILE

14.0 Compressor removal complete. Reinstall new compressor in the reverse order of removal. NOTE: When installing the air tube, push tubing into fitting until it bottoms out.
