Proper installation is essential to experience and appreciate the benefits of this system. Please take a moment to review these installation instructions before you begin to install this system on your vehicle.
It is equally important to be aware of all necessary safety measures while installing your new Air Ride System. This includes proper lifting and immobilizing of the vehicle and isolation of any stored energy to prevent personal injury or property damage.

WARNING: The air suspension system is under pressure (up to 10 bar, or
150 lbf/in ) verify pressure has been relieved and disconnect power to the air ride system prior to disassembly. Do not allow dirt or grease to enter the system. Always wear standard protective hand, ear, and eye protection when servicing the air suspension system.

*Removal and installation is only to be performed by full qualified personnel.
*CAUTION: Damage to the vehicle and shock assembly can be incurred if work is carried out in a manner other than specified in the instructions or in a different sequence.
COIL SPRING AND REAR SHOCK ABSORBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION:
The ignition must remain switched off during the shock removal and replacement.
Use lifting platform (hoist) that is capable of raising the body separately from the
wheels, lift body at the lifting points prescribed by the vehicle manufacturer.
Vehicle slippage can cause danger to life and limb.

1.0 Remove the AHC (Adjustable Height Control) relay and fuse (located in the fuse/relay panel in the engine bay), the H N L lights on the dash will remain on.
2.0 Raise vehicle.
3.0 Remove rear wheels.
NOTE: EMPLOY THE SAME MANNER DESCRIBED BELOW TO THE
OTHER SIDE.
4.0 Remove the 2 bolts holding the pressure hose, cap pressure hose and secure.
5.0 Remove the bolt from and disconnect the shock absorber from the axle housing (Figure
A).

6.0 While holding the piston rod, remove the nut on the top of the shock absorber, 2
retainers, cushion and shock absorber (Figure B).

7.0 Remove the 4 bolts and disconnect the LH and RH stabilizer bar brackets (Figure C).

8.0 Remove the nut, washer and bolt; disconnect the lateral control rod (Figure D).
NOTE: PERFORM FINAL TORQUE OF LATERAL CONTROL ARM BOLT/NUT
AFTER STABILIZING THE SUSPENSION

9.0 Disconnect breather hose (Figure E).

10.0 Remove coil spring:
10.1 With the axle housing supported with a jack begin to lower the axle housing (Use caution so not to snap the brake line and parking brake cable).
10.2 While lowering the axle housing, remove the coil spring and insulator (Figure F).
NOTE: WHEN RE-INSTALLING THE COIL SPRING CHECK THAT THE COIL SPRING IS
INSTALLED CORRECTLY.

10.3 Remove the bolt and follow spring from frame if so equipped (some models the insulator and follow spring are a one piece unit). (Figure G).

11.0 Removal complete, installation is in the reverse order of removal (SEE FIGURE 1.0 FOR TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS).

FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION:
1.0 Raise vehicle.
2.0 Remove front wheels.
3.0 Remove front apron.

NOTE: EMPLOY THE SAME MANNER DESCRIBED BELOW TO THE
OTHER SIDE.
4.0 Remove the bolt and nut; disconnect the shock absorber from the lower suspension arm (Figure H).

5.0 Remove the 2 bolts holding the pressure hose, cap pressure hose and secure.
6.0 While holding the piston rod, remove the nut on the top of the shock absorber, 2 retainers, cushion and shock absorber (Figure I).

FRONT TORSION BAR SPRING ADJUSTMENT:
ADJUSTING THE RIDE HEIGHT/RIDE COMFORT MAY NEED TO BE DONE AFTER THE INSTALLATION ON THE NEW C-2479 COIL KIT.
1.0 Raise vehicle.
2.0 Remove engine under cover.
NOTE: WHEN ADJUSTING TORSION BAR, ADJUST BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT
SIDES EQUALLY. IT IS RECOMMENED TO START BY ADJUSTING THE ANCHOR ARM ADJUSTING BOLT 2 COMPLETE REVOLOUTIONS. ADDITIONAL ADJUSTMENT MAY BE REQUIRED DEPENDING ON PERSONNEL PREFERENCE.
3.0 Adjust anchor arm adjusting bolt as required (Figure J).
