1. Turn air suspension switch to the off position. (Switch is located on the driver side of the trunk)
2. Raise vehicle with proper lifting equipment. The tires must be off the ground. Suspension must be fully
down with no load. ALWAYS USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN LIFTING VEHICLE! (Refer to
shop manual for lifting instructions)
3. Remove wheel.
4. Remove solenoid-retaining clip. 5. Rotate solenoid counterclockwise to
the first stop, then pull down on
solenoid. Make sure all the air vents
out of the air spring. Rotate again and
remove solenoid.
6. Remove air hose and unplug power to the 7. Unbolt the brake line and remove from
solenoid. To remove the air hose, push down mounting bracket. Unplug strut electrical
on the orange ring while pulling out on the damper solenoid.

8. Remove the ABS sensor cable from strut. 9. Unhook height sensor.
10. Remove lower knuckle pinch bolt and 11. Remove stabilizer bar link nut.

12. Remove stabilizer bar link from strut. 13. Loosen top three mount-to-shock nuts. Do not remove the large center nut.

14. Carefully remove the old air spring/ shock 15. Install new coil spring/ strut and three top
assembly from vehicle. top mount-to-shock nuts. Do not tighten nuts.
16. Install knuckle pinch bolt and nut. 17. Tie back nylon tubing and electrical plug. (Tighten to 73-97 lb-ft).
18. Install stabilizer bar link and tighten nut to 57-75 lb-ft. (Reverse steps #11 and 12)
19. Install brake line to the mounting bracket. (Reverse step # 7)
19. Install ABS cable relief back to strut mounting bracket. (Reverse step # 8)
20. Snap height sensor back to its lower ball stud. (Reverse step # 9)
21. Replace wheel and lower suspension.

Rear Coil Spring Conversion Instructions.

4. Remove solenoid-retaining clip. 5. Rotate solenoid counterclockwise to

solenoid. Make sure all the air vents
out of the air spring. Rotate again and
remove solenoid.
6. Remove air hose and unplug power to the 7. Depress the two plastic locking fingers on
solenoid. To remove the air hose, push down the top air spring cap. Push down on air spring
on the orange ring while pulling out on the and remove from top body bracket.
