Proper installation is essential to experience and appreciate the benets of this system. Please take a moment
to review these installation instructions before you begin to install these components on your vehicle. The
removal and installation of air suspension products should only be performed by a fully qualied, ASE
Certied, professional.
It is equally important to be aware of all necessary safety measures while installing your new Air Suspension
System. This includes proper lifting and immobilizing of the vehicle and isolation of any stored energy to
prevent personal injury or property damage.

WARNING:
and disconnect power to the air suspension system prior to disassembly. Do not allow dirt or grease to enter the system.
Always wear standard hand, ear, and eye protection when servicing the air suspension system.
The air suspension system is under pressure (up to 10 bar, or 150 lbf/in). Verify pressure has been relieved

• Not to be stored below 5oF (-15oC) and above 122oF (50oC).
• Avoid damage to air lines and cables.
• Removal and installation is only to be performed by fully qualied personnel.

additional care, safety and maintenance instructions. Under no circumstances should any work be completed underneath
the vehicle if it is not adequately supported, as serious injuries and death can occur.
AIR STRUT REMOVAL
1. LOOSEN AND REMOVE THE 3 TOP BOLTS UNDER THE HOOD. (FIGURE A)

2. REMOVE THE PINCH BOLT FROM THE FRONT OF THE CONTROL ARMS. (FIGURE B)

3. REMOVE BOTH BALL JOINTS FROM THE FRONT SUSPENSION LINK. (FIGURE C)

4. REMOVE THE REMAINING AIR PRESSURE FROM THE FRONT AIR SPRING. TO DEFLATE THE AIR SPRING,
CAREFULLY REMOVE THE AIR FITTING FROM THE TOP OF THE AIR SPRING. REMOVE THE AIR LINE FITTING
FROM THE AIR HOSE AND DISCARD. (FIGURE D)

8. REMOVE THE CENTER FLANGE NUT FROM THE TOP OF THE SHOCK. (FIGURE H)

10. REMOVE THE OLD AIR SPRING FROM THE SHOCK. YOU MAY HAVE TO TAP DOWN ON THE AIR SPRING PISTON TO
DISLODGE IT FROM THE OLD SHOCK. (FIGURE J)

11. REMOVE AND DISCARD THE OLD O-RING USED TO SEAL THE AIR SPRING TO THE SHOCK. THIS O-RING WILL
NOT BE REUSED IN THE NEW ASSEMBLY. (FIGURE K)
AIR SPRING INSTALLATION

OVER THE SHOCK ABSORBER. (FIGURE L)
LUBRICATE THE O-RING IN THE BOTTOM OF THE NEW AIR SPRING ASSEMBLY, AND SLIDE THE NEW AIR SPRING

2. REMOVE THE NEW O-RING FROM BAG AND LUBRICATE.

ON THE TOP SIDE OF THE AIR SPRING.
REPLACE THE CAST ALUMINUM SHOCK CAP AND INSTALL THE SIX (6) TOP MOUNTING BOLTS. (FIGURE N)
REPLACE THE TOP WASHER, RUBBER MOUNT AND FLANGE NUT.

AIR STRUT INSTALLATION
Tighten all nuts and bolts to manufacturer's specications during the installation process.
Do not remove the air tting from the air spring. Doing so may cause damage and/or void warranty. Remove the white
shipping pin from the new air tting and insert the air line until fully seated.
1. INSTALLATION IS IN REVERSE ORDER OF AIR STRUT REMOVAL.
