Safety information
• The ScrubKart is not WRAS approved and therefore should not be used for drinking water.
• All relevant PPE must be worn when using or setting up the ScrubKart.
• Take care with moving parts as they may present a finger trap hazard.
• A risk assessment must be carried out by a competent person before use.
• Some ScrubKart models include a boiler to produce hot water. The manual for the boiler must be read and
understood before using the ScrubKart. The manufacturers warnings and instructions are relevant and should be understood before use.
• The hot water temperature is regulated by a thermostat which also acts as a resettable safety device to
prevent dangerous overheating.
• The boiler may need regular servicing on an annual or a usage-dependant basis. Owner must refer to the
separate manufacturers user manual.
• The ScrubKart’s purpose is to maintain hygiene and sanitary standards on a site. To ensure it’s continual
effectiveness, the ScrubKart and it’s accessories must be washed and disinfected regularly.
• Relevant fire extinguishers must be nearby whilst the ScrubKart is in use.
• Regularly check visible cables, sockets and RCD for damage. If damaged, remove from service. Any
maintenance required should only be carried out by a competent person.
• The ScrubKart must be on level ground when in use or connected to power.
• The ScrubKart is a heavy product so care should be taken when manoeuvring or transporting it. Ensure the
containers inside are empty before moving it.
• The temperature on the water heater should be set and adjusted by a competent person.
• Care should be taken whilst emptying the waste water tank and it should be disposed of responsibly.
• Never mix the use of the water tanks. Waste water tank should only be used for waste water and clean
water for fresh water.
• Water should be checked regularly for Legionella and replaced if any trace found.
• Water heated to over 50° C can cause immediate serious burns if delivered directly to the taps, ensure the
water temperature is set to the correct temperature before use.
• Do not leave flammable materials in contact with or in the vicinity of the appliance.
• DO NOT use the appliance for any other than its specified use. The manufacturer is not liable for damage or
injury resulting from improper or incorrect use or failure to observe the instructions given in this manual.
• To reduce the risk from Legionella, long periods of water stagnations should be avoided; it means the system
should be used or flushed at least weekly.
• Before the ScrubKart is used for the first time, the water heater must be filled by pumping 15L of water
through the system.
• When draining the water heater, refer to the manufacturers guide for the correct procedure.
• In cold conditions or climates, ensure that the containers are left empty overnight.

Filling up the ScrubKart
1.
The connection to the clean water container must be screwed on while in use. Unscrew the plastic water cap carefully when required to replace the water.
2.
Remove the container(s) and attend to them as required. Take special care to ensure that they are not ever cross-contaminated.
3. 4.
15L
Replace the containers, ensuring they are correctly connected, and then insert the bars into their original slots.
15L of water must be
pumped through before the unit is powered on, to ensure the water heater is filled up. Water will not flow out of the tap until the 15L water heater has been filled.

Connections to the ScrubKart
1.
Ensure that all pipes and water connection are sealed and leak-proof by testing the water flow, ensuring there’s no puddles forming anywhere, before plugging in the unit with electricity.
3.
2.
For the mains fed version, a competent person must check the position of the lever on the isolation valve and ensure that the water pressure is suitable for location of ScrubKart.
4.
Ensure that the ScrubKart is plugged in safely by checking that the plug and socket are dry, and free from debris before plugging in and powering on.
The ScrubKart should be disconnected from any external supply and any trailing leads should be secured before moving it. Only move it when the tanks inside are empty.
7
Using the ScrubKart
1.
When using the ScrubKart, ensure all connections are secure and turned on. The boiler must be filled before connecting the unit to electricity.
3.
2.
The unit will need to be left for around 30 mins on 110v and 10 mins on 240v to heat up to temperature. The temperature of the water can be adjusted on the boiler by a competent person.
4.
For use with the manual foot pump, use a frequent pressing up and down motion on the lever to create a suitable flow of water.
For the mains fed pump, compress the lever with your foot and release when flow of water is no longer required.

Electrical Safety
• WARNING: Electricity can kill. Ensure you are working in a safe environment at all times.
• Ensure that the PAT test record for the unit is not expired.
• Before use, ensure that all sockets are undamaged and free from water, dirt, oil and any other
foreign objects.
• Take necessary precautions to prevent cables from becoming a hazard.
• Armorgard can not be held responsible for misuse of cables or equipment.
WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)
• The EC Directive on WEEE aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic goods on
the environment, by increasing re-use and recycling and reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill.
• In essence some of the chemicals and metals in electrical items can be harmful to the soil.
and human health when disposed of in landfill sites. By working together we can all reduce the amount of landfill and resulting contamination.
• The customer is responsible for disposing of the WEEE at the end of its useful life unless
otherwise agreed.
• Please dispose of electrical and electronic equipment through a Designated Collection Facility
(DCF) where special facilities exist for correct disposal.
Regular maintenance
• Routine checks and maintenance should be applied regularly to the ScrubKart as follows:
• The boiler should be turned off, drained and cleaned. Refer to the manufacturers guide for the
correct procedure to follow.
• Both the fresh water container and waste container should be thoroughly cleaned and
rinsed. They should be both empty and dry before being replaced and reconnected inside the ScrubKart.
• Disinfect and wipe down the ScrubKart inside and out, including related components and
accessories.
• Remove any leftover soap from the soap dispenser and clean.
• Disconnect any external water or electrical supply, and secure trailing leads on the unit.
