INSTALLATION & OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
INTRODUCTION
The Arlec Compact Entry Detector is a compact, passive infrared sensor alarm which provides reliable detection 24 hours a day providing security, safety and convenience. The detector can be used in two different modes, chime or alarm. The chime provides a ding-dong sound when detection is made. In the alarm position a continuous siren sounds for approximately 15 seconds, resets automatically and then sounds again if further movement is detected.
INSTALLATION
1. Remove battery cover and place 9 volt battery in compartment (suitable for use with Arlec Rechargeable battery(BSP9V). The unit can also operate from a mains adaptor if 240 volt mains power is desired.
2. Select location and mount bracket with double sided foam tape or use screws provided. (Bracket can be unclipped from the sensor for screw mounting.)
3. Adjust sensor position to cover desired detection area.
4. Switch on detector to either chime or alarm. The unit is now set, and has an in built time delay of approximately 20 seconds to allow you to move away. When set on the unit will chime immediately to signify the start of the 20 second delay period.
